[ The campfire is still roaring. S'mores supplies are hanging around the area. There's still a faint scent of copper on the air, for those who can really recognize it.

Leon is leaning against Mami on one of the logs around the fire. He's been acting like he's uncaring-- and a lot of it stems from bitterness that this happened to him and he had to watch it AGAIN. But he's calmed down now. He actually looks rather peaceful, if a bit weathered.

There's also now a pizza sitting on another nearby seat. It's cheese and a little cold. ]

Spell didn't work. Delivery man practically blinked out of existence. I thought I'd try since... look at all of us now.

[ That's all he murmurs. Join the campfire? ]

Yeah, exactly. We shouldn't kill people just 'cause they tell us we should. We shouldn't sink to their fucking level.

We should not ignore the possibility of that Entity having a hand in what is going on. The patterns are too similar to completely ignore. If that's the case, at least we have a very good idea on how to combat It.

Yes, exactly. If we are being forced into playing their game, it should at the very least be done on our terms and our terms alone.

Yeah. It's not a foolish question. My disease went away when everyone else's did. I mean... I've still got all the other shit I came here with, but I'm not dying anymore.

This place is terrible enough as it without having to worry about flash plagues of random epidemics. Balloons, too... red ones. [He shuddered as he thought of the inverted pyramid of baloons Pennywise had hiding his face the first time he saw It. They seemed to defy the laws of physics. A dozen or so balloons with only one string...

But he didn't want to think about It anymore. Mami had a beautiful smile and she was being so sweet to him. His smile widens to reflect hers.]

Thanks... I mean... you're welcome... but thanks, too. If we stick together they can't hurt us, right? [Right?!]

Red balloons...got it. Witches would sometimes weaponize mundane items...does It do that as well?

[There's a soft look on her face as she drinks in the visible discomfort Eddie has for even remembering his encounter with this creature. It must have been too awful for words.]

[This boy...Mami must protect him with everything that she is. She wants to protect that smile...that innocence...even if it's impossible to do in a place like this, she is going to give it her all.]

It didn't weaponize them... It just used 'em to scare the shit out of us. It... It fed on fear. But It could turn Itself into different things to scare us. Like... the stuff we were most afraid of.

[His smile turns into a wince and he shudders thinking about his first encounter with the clown. It was not a pleasant experience AT ALL.]
