post-trial garbage feelings
[ The campfire is still roaring. S'mores supplies are hanging around the area. There's still a faint scent of copper on the air, for those who can really recognize it.
Leon is leaning against Mami on one of the logs around the fire. He's been acting like he's uncaring-- and a lot of it stems from bitterness that this happened to him and he had to watch it AGAIN. But he's calmed down now. He actually looks rather peaceful, if a bit weathered.
There's also now a pizza sitting on another nearby seat. It's cheese and a little cold. ]
Spell didn't work. Delivery man practically blinked out of existence. I thought I'd try since... look at all of us now.
[ That's all he murmurs. Join the campfire? ]

[ Nine has already had his pizza, so he's roasting marshmallows instead. ]

Thanks for the food.
I THOUGHT I HIT SUBMIT (also mention of losing your lunch)
[ Also in case he pukes. It's better with something there instead of nada. ]

He does kind of burn his tongue on the cheese, but it isn't that bad. He's not really tasting anything.]

He does get one of the drinks to pass over to him ]
How's the alien guy?
[ Since they can't talk about the wild life and green stuff probably isn't good to talk about either. ]

He does wonder something else though and doesn't think about what it might do... ]
That your first time seeing someone die?

No.
This was just... [right there in front of him, and a human] messy.
I don't-- [and here's where he starts to panic again, the sort of anxiety that comes far more from a long-held memory than anything fresh] think I can get that sound out of my head.

Nine hasn't heard anyone trampled by a moose before, but by people? Tanks? By the crunch the butt of a gun can make?
He knows that, but he's used to it. He grew up just to be on the front lines and it feels natural for him.
But Chuuta is different. He does reach over to pinch his arm to get his focus back. ]
Hey, keep your head here with me. Focus on the fire.

But it works, the pain helps pull him back and helps him focus. Drew complains, just a sense of nonverbal annoyance and discomfort, but that's not important. What's important is that he's right here, and he can focus on the pinch on his arm and the heat of the fire.]
I'm okay.
