[ The campfire is still roaring. S'mores supplies are hanging around the area. There's still a faint scent of copper on the air, for those who can really recognize it.

Leon is leaning against Mami on one of the logs around the fire. He's been acting like he's uncaring-- and a lot of it stems from bitterness that this happened to him and he had to watch it AGAIN. But he's calmed down now. He actually looks rather peaceful, if a bit weathered.

There's also now a pizza sitting on another nearby seat. It's cheese and a little cold. ]

Spell didn't work. Delivery man practically blinked out of existence. I thought I'd try since... look at all of us now.

[ That's all he murmurs. Join the campfire? ]

When we get out of here, I really wanna visit your world. I know you said you guys were fighting a war and... I'm thinking maybe I could use Voltron to help you guys? I mean.... the whole point of Voltron is to bring peace all across the universe and all.

[He grins, but the nervousness doesn't quite go away. Maybe that's just the problem though; he's thinking too much about it and well.... there's a reason people don't count on him to do the heavy lifting on the thinking front.]

...Oh and also? I was wondering... do Sibylla date? ...Just curious. You know... because Red.

Oh, Lance, that would be perfect! I bet with you there it'd all be over in no time. You can meet everyone in Chor Tempest and I'll show you my Simoun and...maybe we could even go flying together. It would be great- no, it will be great. For sure.

[ She shifts around a bit in order to turn their side-snuggle into a full-fledged hug. When they get out of here. It will be great. It will, it will, it will. Yeah.

Of course, it makes his next question slightly more awkward...Floe gives a hesitant giggle. ]

Oh, that. Sure they do. I mean, kinda...people get so fussy about it. Saying we have to "be careful of our reputations" or whatever. But it's not like that stops anyone...and, y'know. It's not like any of that matters here, anyway.

[Easily, this is one of the best parts about talking to Floe. Even when hell has seemingly broken loose, and everyone else is talking about self sacrifice and final words, Floe is just as eager to talk about futures that aren't so bleak and glum.

But that's an awful amount of eye contact as she shifts positions, and Lance feels his cheeks slowly turning red. Partly because hugging Floe is comforting, but mostly because he doesn't want her to see that, he leans in and rests his chin on her shoulder.]

You can totally count on me! And I'll definitely have to introduce you to Allura, Coran and the other Paladins. They're not gonna believe how cool you are!

[And after a moment of hesitating:]

Flying together sounds like a way better date than the Loveboat thing, huh....

[ There's another laugh, softer and gentler and more sincere this time. ]

Oh, I dunno. That was going pretty good until the last part.

[ She buries her face in his shoulder to hide the silly grin that's spreading. For a moment she hesitates: should she even be feeling this way, with everything else going on? But as soon as the thought comes she forces it away again, left with only the wonderful bubbly, floaty feeling he gives her. A feeling like...like her heart is going to stop. ]

But you're right. It sounds like the perfect date to me.

I can't wait.

[Despite all the signs that this wasn't going to go terribly, it still manages to surprise him just a little when Floe agrees to.... not exactly a date, but a future date. And then that surprise is replaced with something different. Something warm, giddy and gentle. In other words, something that's completely out of place for the events that have just happened.

Creepy Dan's been poisoned. Lilith's been battered to death by a moose... and who knows what fate's awaiting the rest of them? As much as Lance would like to believe none of that matters, he knows that unless they're careful. he may not have Floe there to hug tight in his arms and laugh with one day.

The thought is sobering, and if Lance lets it, it'd easily get depressing. Instead, he laughs because there's no use over thinking this either. All he can do is do his best day by day for himself. And now for Floe too.]

Right? [He laughs, gently brushing her back.] We gotta make that happen! There are so many things I gotta introduce you to and there's no way a place like this is gonna stop me from doing that.
