WEEK 2
Sunday passes rather uneventfully, giving everyone a much-needed rest after that emotional trial. The weather even holds out until Sunday night, though clouds can definitely be seen across the lake by Sunday evening. Come Monday morning, those clouds loom overhead, grey and full of rain.
A storm is brewing.
But that's not the only thing thing that is changing about camp. Most of the RVs have changed in the RV park as well. Some families have left, others have arrived. They all have the same cold and distrustful nature as the last group, though. Additionally, if anyone tries to play the Wii, they will find that Soma and Lillith's Miis have disappeared. How odd.
Pastor Dan's absence is probably the biggest change, though. Without him around, there's nobody left tending to the chapel, and there's one less adult to keep an eye on the kids. Behave yourselves, everyone! But interestingly enough, the chapel seems to have been cleaned up from the mess left in there on Friday. It looks as pristine as the day everyone arrived at camp. Interesting.
But most importantly, the real stakes are now known. This camp is not a normal camp, and things are probably only going to get worse from here. There are only seven weeks left, but survival is not guaranteed. Knowing that, what will you do?

When the moose takes Sayama, he finds himself unable to move. Even if he was a person concerned with heroics, he wouldn't have been able to jump in here, too paralyzed by fear.
And then as soon as the gunshot comes, Boa jumps out of bed, stumbles, and runs to the cabin door to look outside. There's morning darkness and silence. ]
... what the--?!

[ And Nine is in the bunk UNDER Mikoto. He sits up and summons his weapon, but doesn't make a move to save his bunk mate. His gaze moves past the moose, to the others in the cabin. Making sure they aren't going to pull something stupid or that it doesn't try to touch one of them.
Nine only springs into action after it heads out of the cabin. He hops out of his bed in just his shorts, gives a look over at the others in the cabin and then jogs after the moose. ]
no subject
[ Oh god, why would you run after the moose, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?? But Boa only shouts after him from the door. He is certainly not moving further from here. ]
no subject
That bastard escaped into the forest, yo.
[ He couldn't catch up ]
no subject
Of course it did. We're powerless against the moose.
no subject
[ Yuuup. That will definitely go well. ]
no subject
[ Listen if you get yourself moose-killed that makes the pool of potential murder victims smaller and thus lessens the survival chances of everyone else, so like.. can you not? ]
no subject
[ Take it as a good sign that he's actually considering what Boa has to say. He plops down at the edge of a bed. ]
no subject
[ Hmmm.... Maybe Nine... has a point? Maybe? Can it be? ]
We've never actually seen how it reacts to ordinary injuries, have we?
no subject
[ Which gives him some ideas. ]
We'd have to get it to stay still first. Maybe a net?
no subject
[ After having felt its antlers on his arm, he does not underestimate this. ]
But digging a pitfall isn't quick and variable enough.
no subject
[ Maybe they should just poison it. ]
Do you know what moose even eat?
[ Meese? Moosi? ]
no subject
[ He's totally guessing. ]
Maybe they like carrots, like horses.
no subject
no subject
It might. He wasn't exactly a normal lifeform either. But the moose probably knows better than to eat that stuff.

What was that?
[What the hell summoned the Moose here?]
no subject
Whatever it was, I doubt Sayama is going to come back to be able to tell the tale.
no subject
[Sayama, huh?]
What exactly happened? Tell me.
no subject
Once his shock has faded he takes a breath]
What the fuck happened?! That fucking moose just fucking appeared and took Sayama! That's what the fuck happened!!!!
no subject
Why Sayama? Did any of you notice anything strange about him?

[ Boa pauses. ]
I mean, really, that's it, he... he didn't do anything. Was just kind of out of it? I didn't think anything of it, given the situation though. He didn't break any rules I know of.
no subject
He liked to pester me where he could, and didn't strike me as the type to give up so easily just due to this. Doing nothing is already strange...
[But what would cause that?]
no subject
[ Boa just trails off and sighs. ]
I'd like to now the warning signs before I next wake up to a moose in the cabin. I'll ask Red about it later.
no subject
[He's about to voice his assent to the second part but then this bullshit happens so uh, so much for that conversation staying on track.]
