Sunday passes rather uneventfully, giving everyone a much-needed rest after that emotional trial. The weather even holds out until Sunday night, though clouds can definitely be seen across the lake by Sunday evening. Come Monday morning, those clouds loom overhead, grey and full of rain.

A storm is brewing.

But that's not the only thing thing that is changing about camp. Most of the RVs have changed in the RV park as well. Some families have left, others have arrived. They all have the same cold and distrustful nature as the last group, though. Additionally, if anyone tries to play the Wii, they will find that Soma and Lillith's Miis have disappeared. How odd.

Pastor Dan's absence is probably the biggest change, though. Without him around, there's nobody left tending to the chapel, and there's one less adult to keep an eye on the kids. Behave yourselves, everyone! But interestingly enough, the chapel seems to have been cleaned up from the mess left in there on Friday. It looks as pristine as the day everyone arrived at camp. Interesting.

But most importantly, the real stakes are now known. This camp is not a normal camp, and things are probably only going to get worse from here. There are only seven weeks left, but survival is not guaranteed. Knowing that, what will you do?

Tuesday Morning

[ Soma is dead and Boa has not been able to make out a single reason for that to have happened. That is more unsettling than even the killing contest itself managed to be.

So here's an 11yo banging on Red's door. He needs answers. ]

[backspacing]

[Hi Boa.

It's early as shit and Boa will actually catch Red with her hair messed up and no makeup on. Because wow this is early.]

Is something wrong?

[ This takes Boa aback.]

Ha? Shouldn't you know? I thought you control the moose?

[backspacing]

...no?

[Look, it's too early for her 'cool and collected' facade.]

That anomaly just lives in the woods around here.

[finalguard]

.... oh.

[ That's great. That's real neat. That's extremely unsettling news. ]

Then it might interest you to hear the moose just kidnapped Sayama and presumably got him shot.

[backspacing]

[Oh.]

...well that's unfortunate.

[SORRY she does feel kinda bad about that, but. I mean. It's murdercamp.]

I'll handle the anti-moose protocol in a bit. If you want, you can stay in the lodge for now. That thing won't come anywhere near here.

[ This is so... frustrating. Boa has resigned himself to the murder aspect of camp and he's planning to survive it, but having unpredictable wildlife attacks in the mix just topples over all his plans. He wants to play by the rules and camp won't even let him do that. ]

What's the anti-moose protocol?

[backspacing]

Moose spray, mostly.

I can get a bottle for your cabin to have, if you want.

[finalguard]

We'd appreciate it a lot. It wasn't a nice way to be woken up.

[ He sincerely doubts the spray can help much against this specific moose, but having it is better than not having anything when push comes to shove. ]

So is this something that the moose just... does? Take people?

[backspacing]

That particular moose is a...strange one, to say the least. Most moose aren't like it.

I assume most moose aren't immune to special powers either, yes.

[ He just gives Red a prompting look here, hoping she'll volunteer some more moose info. ]

[Sorry, that information is time-gated.]

You would think that, but moose actually are resistant to magic. Something about their thick hides makes it hard to do anything to them.

You're messing with me.

Not this time, no.

You're telling me having a thick hide is all it takes to repel powerful magic.
