As you wake up, you'll realize that your powers have returned to you. For some, this is a joyous occasion...but even with them returned, it's only a grim reminder of the reality of the situation -

- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.

Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.

[she's always felt that way, just a little bit. but this week. . . it hits closer to home. it isn't quite as bad as the hope she lost when her father died, but. . .]

[she lifts her gaze to look at him, to study his features for a change, before she lets out a chuckle]

I agree. Even if it's just to confirm a hypothesis, we shouldn't give up.

[He looks away a little as she studies him - it's kind of embarrassing, honestly - before giving a small smile.]

[He scratches the back of his head, looking back at her.]

It's - hard not to want to give up here. But...that's the point, isn't it? If we give up, then...we're just playing into what they want.

[His eyes look...determined, instead of full of sorrow or pain like they have been.

It's like he's woken up.]

[her own smile is small, and she ducks her head, pushing her bangs away from her face]

[He's silent for a moment, thinking about that. He wouldn't really call it an answer, honestly - it was more that when he saw her stumble, falter at learning that their patrol hadn't done anything...

He couldn't just let her go through the same things he had, and not be there for her.]

[she lifts her head again, expression adopting a determined look]

Complete failure is not an option. So long as we can strive to save those souls, wherever they may be, we will win.

[He breaks into a grin - a strong one, right along that determined look in his eyes, happy that she's regained her footing.]

I'll keep having your back, if you'll have mine. So - let's keep going, for as long as we can.

[He holds out a hand, for her to take.]
