All these wet noodles, good lord.
[ So sometime late into Sunday, right before sunset, Cielo can be seen running through camp, soaked, and bleeding profusely from one of his arms. He's just screaming like an idiot, out of breath, making hand gestures at anyone in the cabins or the lodge. He doesn't stay long in one area, looking for help wherever he can.
He is also, incidentally, looking for Stan if he can find him. ]
Help--de clearin'--everybody real badly hurt, we need first-aid, I can only do so much, bandages...! Anythin' you got! An' pain medicine! We gwon need a lot!

... 'Ey, sista. Dat, uh. Dat sure happened. Sorry I snatched you--I didn't get a chance to apologize. I know it prolly... freaked you out a bit.
no subject
. . . no. It's all right, Cielo. If anything, I think you saved me.
How are you feeling?

[ He smiles a little more freely, less tense, relieved she seems to be as okay as she can be. ]
I'm fine. My arm'll recover.

Did another healer tend to it? I'm sorry; I used most of my magic on Ren, so I wasn't able to assist you or Tsukino. . .

[ It's obvious he means Minitsuru. ]
You exhausted yourself, sista. I'd be in de same boat, if I had any of my healing magic equipped at de moment. I'll see if I can get another item to help us in de future, jus' in case next time. You were really amazin', though.

The weariness from yesterday hadn't even faded, and yet...
He doesn't say anything. But he'll crouch at her side, singing a soft incantation, lights sparkling briefly in the air, healing what wounds remain lightly.]

Ah, Ashikawa. . .
. . . thank you. I believe I'm okay, now.

[He repeats this, because it bears repeating, in his eyes.
The ten person minimum, which he went out of his way to tell to her - and then this happens.]

[it absolutely bears repeating. no arguments, no denial. they could have died. one of them almost did die. they had spoken before about how they wished to prioritize survival over anything else, and now. . .]
[what she believed would be something akin to a routine Tartarus run turned into something so much more dangerous than originally anticipated. and that is dangerous, in light of the information he entrusted to her]

[He thinks not. But he'll give her a chance to explain herself.]

Take this, but try to ration it over the next few days. It'll help with the pain, ze.
[ if she drinks it it will taste unpleasantly like a mouthful of leaves, but does work well as a painkiller ]

[she sits up to take that bottle, looking kind of bewildered when she does so]
Thank you. . .? Is it a liquid painkiller?

I spend a lotta time hunched over a cauldron, at home. I'm better at makin' stuff that goes boom, though.

[she sits up when she hears her name, and when she sees the card, her brows shoot up in surprise]
Is that-- us?

[he gives her a nervous smile]
I drew it while you were sleeping. Are you gonna be okay?
no subject
I will be, yes. Marisa and Ashikawa were able to help heal my injuries.
Thank you, Tozier. This is very kind of you.

[and he's just going to lean over and give her a hug, because he has no idea Japan has different ideas about personal space]

For a while, though, he’ll mostly just sit with her, quiet. It’s more for the sake of... slowly digesting everything that just happened, and the fact that she and the others are still here, after everything. Even with Red gone and Lance and Kanji gone and all kinds of things upside down. He spends most of the time with his eyes closed, just sitting. Finally:]
Are you okay?
[She didn’t seem particularly okay, coming out. Back when Ren was there, laid out like a corpse across the ground by her.]
no subject
. . . I am, yes.
Resting has helped.
[it'll be a few days before she's normal, but for now? sleep is good]
no subject
[Her rest, that is. From her words, he can tell that she's probably been awake most of the time he's been here, but still. He keeps his eyes closed; he'd checked on her injuries when he came in, and while they seem about the same they at least don't seem worse. That's what they can ask for at this point.
They'll have to wait for all the healers to get back up to full health. Ironically.]
Everyone is stable and healed. Mitsuru and Marisa did their best.
[She probably knows this, for the most part, but he puts it out there anyway. A quick status update. It's a little bit for himself, too.]
no subject
[her eyes flutter open, head tilted to watch him as they speak. she doesn't yet sit up]
Ashikawa and Marisa did a wonderful job. We all owe them our sincere gratitude.
