WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

[Eddie smiles a little as he listens, his eyes roaming over the drawings he'd already made]

That's... that's a really good idea, Rich. I'd love to help.

[He sits down and snags one of the blank pieces of paper and thinks about what he should draw.]

[oh, that stings. it stings, like lemon in a paper cut. but ... he takes a deep breath and pushes down the pain, delicately papering it over with the thought that this is temporary. that they'll find a way. they have to. they HAVE TO. this is still his friend. they are ALL still friends. he might not trust all of them, but ... but ... does trust matter so much as teamwork, right now? did he completely trust Ben when he arrived? or Bev? or even Bill?]

[Eddie's eyes get wide with surprise at the sudden hug. But... but this is good. This is RICHIE. Not that depressed kid who'd given up all hope. THIS. He GRINS and wraps his arms around Richie's waist, holding him close]

[He tilts his head to look him over, sitting easily on his bike.]

I mean, it looks good! I just never expected you to wear a suit!

I've never made curry. Is it hard to do? I ... can do sandwiches, and toast, and heat up Spaghetti-Os. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like any of that.

Is there a recipe book?

Other than whatever it is going on between them, the only thing that comes to mind clearly is how Saturday went. ]

Sorry, I haven't been back in the Cabin for a couple of days.

[ He does feel bad about leaving Tal alone... ]

[ You know, the zombie thing is bad enough without throwing in the whole creepy church service stuff too. But oh well. Despite how wrong and awful it all is, there's at least still something familiar about being in a chapel like this, so she's, y'know. Fine with it. It's fine. She's fine. This is fine.

[ He looks away for a moment. It's hard when you're still seeing it. The break up part has all of his focus ]

Huh? Really? Did he say why? [ Nine has noticed Tal has been pulling away... before the execution. ]

Not really. But I think the real him broke through for a moment- he said he... "didn't want to hurt-" I assumed he meant me at the time but... might've meant you. Or himself.

Either way, he's suffering.

[The camp uniform was fine, but it's kind of improper from a Japanese perspective.]

There's moments where he's him, and then when he goes back to not being him...

[ It hurts. Or it hurts when Tal doesn't remember. ]

The whiskey's been confiscated - none of you are of legal drinking age in America. I think the other things you mentioned might be somewhere under all of this junk.

MOVIE NIGHT! (Monday)

[Gonta made sure to pluck a certain movie from the pile of stuff earlier, so the rest of the day is spent making a couple of flyers to pass around the camp:]

MOVIE TONIGHT

We will be watching The Duchess Approves in honor of Stan. Meet in rec room tonight. Bring your own snacks.

[He tried his best with the grammar and handwriting this time around...

Everyone is welcome. Living, zombies... It doesn't matter that much. What matters is that they enjoy the movie, their own company, and have happy memories of the man who just left camp.]

I would think being kidnapped and being forced to partake in finding the body of one of your friends every week would tell you exactly what kind of organization it is.

Time-out was pretty boring, no wonder we're all avoiding it. Tell me what I missed.

Better that way. I'll definitely not pull anything like it again either. If we want to enjoy summer camp, playing by the community rules is best after all.
