Week 6
Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?
The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?
The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.
The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

COUNSELORS
DELIVERY....man....?
But there are some changes. For one, he doesn't have the UPS logo, or the hat, anywhere on him - and as he walks in, he's followed by a windowless van behind him, with tinted windows in the front.
Stan and Red were both waiting for him, and Red's eyes narrow and she steps forward, putting herself between Stan and the van. Stan looks clueless, but also worried.]
Stanley Pines. You've been relieved from counselor duties, effective immediately. Failure to come with us will either result in death, or severe injury.
[Archer's voice is serious and grim, clearly in some kind of 'business mode.' Stan looks alarmed, along with Red - but before she can do anything, he steps forward, his face set, keeping down his own alarm.]
Alright. Just don't hurt anyone, got it?
I won't have to, since you're doing the right thing.
[Archer grabs Stan's arm, leading him to the back of the van and placing him inside. The last glimpse anyone has of the older man is him staring at the doors as they close, saying one last thing-]
Hang in there, kids-
[The doors slam shut, and Archer taps on the side of the vehicle, the door opening and four familiar dufflebags being taken out, speaking as he leans over.]
As there needs to be at least 2 counselors on site at all times, I'm going to be your new counselor for these last three weeks.
[As he sets the bags down on the ground, Archer makes a motion to the driver - who begins to back out, turning around to head down the dirt road.]
I suggest you all don't try to stop the van - I will retaliate in kind.

Later on, he can be found dumping the items in Stan's room in a pile, carrying out piles of junk before going back for more. This might be your last chance to grab what you want from home...]

Monday Morning: Do the zombie mash
no subject
I was standing by my window,
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my lover away
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the stone, lord, in the stone
I said to that undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For this lady you are carrying
Lord, I hate to see here go
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the stone, lord, in the stone
Oh, I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in the grave
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the stone, lord, in the stone

The eye that Talcott's body had smashed is now fully Petoskey stone. Likewise Boa's collarbone has an odd bend to it and stone is shining through the skin there as well as in various other spots of his skin.
It's Boa, doubtlessly, but it's a Boa who is completely patchwork. ]

Monday Motive: How are you Feeling?
No explanation for what has happened, though the silent reminder of 'you know how to fix this' is still there. By week six everyone should know how to end what has happened.
Now the trick is to figure out just what was done to everyone.]
((OOC: Remember those names we sent you last night? Everyone is now partnered up in an empathetic bond. Each person will feel their partner's emotions whenever they are feeling a particularly strong feeling. So for example, mild disappointment won't make it through the bond, but genuine sadness will. The stronger the emotion, the more the partner will feel it.
In addition, any physical pain or injuries will be transferred to their partner as well. Try not to get hurt!))

Lenka bites his lip once the watching passes and makes his way out into the grass field, near the trees. He's going to do what he's been doing on and off for weeks and almost relentlessly last week: train with his God Arc until everything goes away for a while.
Speaking of which, did you know he's been ignoring the moose damage to his arm from the first week, still? It's not as bad as it used to be, so he hasn't aggravated it too much lately, but it's definitely still twinging. Whoops. Sorry, partner.]

Monday
[ Nine can be found standing outside of the lodge. He's wearing a different outfit from the usual, with his glasses poking out of his front pocket.
Taking a deep breath as he pushes open the doors to see inside of the church. When he sees that their zombuddies are in there he crosses his arms. Cielo can probably feel the frustration, guilt, and loss from him. Nine just shakes his head and turns away. He can't do it yet... ]
B. Have you seen my cat?
[ Nine is going to head to C1 to check for Ren. Knock knock, guys!
If he doesn't find him there, he's peeking up at the roofs of buildings and then checking trees. ]
C. Cabin 3
[ He's going to locate the rest of his cabin to check in on them. When he sees one of the boys, he'll give a wave. ]
Hey...
[ Can't ask how have you been since he can already guess at that... But Nine needs to stop trying, and just be better at all of this.
Later on, he can be found back in Cabin 3 sitting on Tal's bunk. ]

Monday ~ Tuesday
[ Marisa's flying around the camp today, broom in tow. If she spots anyone, she'll touch down on the ground and wave. ]
Hey. Wanna go for a ride? Might help clear your head a bit. I can't go too high, but the sights're still pretty nice from above.
lake
[ A little later in the day, Marisa's in her bathing suit (clothing magic = still fun) by the lake, one of her grimoires floating next to her. If you take a peek at the cover, it says Water spells in Marisa's messy handwriting.
She's moving her hands in quick motions, drawing up balls of water from the lake, spinning them out until they're hollow like beach balls. ]
Yo. Feel like helpin' me with a test or two?

Monday!
[There's a sight many will find familiar by now. Eddie's sitting on the grass by the woods, with a little pile of food and treats next to him. He's chilling out, waiting for any animals that might come by... especially if they've got stripes and a little mask. Somehow, he feels a little steadier than he has in a couple of weeks, so he's sitting somewhat closer than usual.
He's pinned a blade of grass between his thumbs and is using it as a whistle to amuse himself while he waits.]
I wanna B the very best
[Boa might be... mostly... gone, but Eddie still remembers their conversations about working out and getting stronger. He doesn't have much to do, so why not take that advice? He also made an amazing discovery among the stuff Archer was throwing out!
b1 - RICHIE
[Eddie tracks Richie down, grinning from ear to ear. He's also wearing a red polo shirt instead of the stupid camp shirt.] Yo, asshole! LOOK WHAT I GOT!
[He is BESIDE himself with glee as he drags Richie to where he's propped their bikes on their kickstands! A few of Richie's shirts are draped unceremoniously over the handlebars of his bike]
b2
[Eddie (possibly with Richie by his side) can be found biking around camp. He doesn't usually take his bike off-road, so he's not used to handling it on dirt and grass. But he doesn't care. It's his bike, a piece from home, something familiar that he can hold onto. Something that absolutely brightens his spirits - something he desperately needed!]
B2
Eventually, the guys who are enjoying actual outdoor activities at camp will meet. Gonta waves as Eddie bikes by.]

[Sometime after the morning's... excitement, Mitsuru can actually be found asleep in the rec room. It's not like the last time, when he was laid out over the couch - instead he was evidently drawing some sort of stern-looking palace in his booklet when he simply dropped off, head resting on his arms.
Pretty soundly, too. He won't wake if someone gets close. Might wanna give him a poke before someone takes advantage of his nap for an easy kill - or snoop through the booklet, that's fine too.
Later, he can be found playing Splatoon, weird Miis be damned. Come challenge him?]
Tuesday
[It quickly becomes apparent that Boa's zombie has decided to follow him everywhere, which... he can handle. It's unpleasant, being constantly accompanied by a shell of someone he considers a friend, but he can deal with it.
Up until she appears, anyway. Pigtails. Bright, cheerful laughter.
Blood. So, so much blood.
With both voices in his ears, it doesn't take long before he can't stand it any longer, sinking to the ground with his hands over his ears.]
Shut up!
[It's not them. It's not really them. But still, they continue to haunt him...]

Tuesday: Cosmic Thing
I Got Me A Car
[fresh from a Rec Room raid, Richie's kneeling next to his bike. he's stolen a pack of playing cards, and is painstakingly decking out the spokes of the wheels.
there's also a tupperware container he swiped from the kitchen, which he's poked holes in with a kitchen knife while Shirou and Archer weren't looking, and he's stringing it to the handlebars with pipe cleaners.
maybe if you ask nicely he'll explain what he's doing. or what the hell possessed him to wear a pink Hawaiian shirt over his camp shirt...]
It's As Big As A Whale
[Richie has brought as many crayons and pads of paper as he can carry down from the Rec Room and has them spread out on one of the tables. he's hard at work drawing: there's a picture of Lilith holding out a ring to him, one of Talcott and Nine looking angry as Stan dumps a bucket of water on them, one of Floe and Lance ... the more he draws, the more campers' faces are there. you might see yourself there, but he's mostly focusing on the stonified campers. hmmm.]
Hey, wanna help? I need more ideas.
And We're Headin' On Down To The Love Shack
[once the drawings are all done, Richie gathers them up and puts them in his makeshift bike basket, along with the remains of the orange paint Cielo gave him, and a brush, and his Walkman, and another few cassette tapes he salvaged from the pile of Stuff From Home. one of those tapes is The B-52s' Cosmic Thing.
he puts it in the Walkman, cranks that sucker so it can be heard through the earphones, and hangs them from the handlebars, pedaling over to the Time Out Shack.
pardon him while he decks this thing out in good vibes. Usagi may be a rock zombie, but she still had a damn good plan.]

We will be watching The Duchess Approves in honor of Stan. Meet in rec room tonight. Bring your own snacks.
[He tried his best with the grammar and handwriting this time around...
Everyone is welcome. Living, zombies... It doesn't matter that much. What matters is that they enjoy the movie, their own company, and have happy memories of the man who just left camp.]

I said stand down!
[that's her voice, loud enough to carry throughout the camp, and it's coming from the field near the trees. any investigation reveals Mitsuru with the tip of her blade buried deep into a tree trunk. her expression is panicked and wild, eyes wide, like she's staring down something far more sinister than a tree. her empathy partner will feel spikes of panic coursing through them as well]

Tuesdayish
[It's a lovely Tuesday at the beach, the heat oppressive as usual, dipping a little cooler towards the end of the day. It's around twilight that Lenka can be spotted here -- he's initially at the campfire, but he's not really looking at it. His shoulders are a little hunched, as though warding from blows, and he's occasionally stealing glances sideways at something (or someone) that isn't there.
(And all through this, surging and intensifying to extremes for his partner (sorry): sorrow and guilt rising from their low-key thrum and a strange strained sort of happiness all mixed together, cresting and breaking several times before they settle at probably alarming levels.)
Until he gets up, and starts moving towards the lake.
They're halting, meandering little steps, like sleepwalking, like he doesn't know what he's doing. There's a vague expression on his face caught somewhere between a painfully twisted one and the beginnings of a smile, that smooths out the longer he goes. Occasionally, he pauses to offer a soft apology to the air. It's in a different direction each time.
Someone, uh, maybe stop him before he goes swimming in all his clothing. Or you could find him up to his waist or chest or neck, since he's just going to keep going. Probably, either way, there are tears on his face by now, silent and open.]
II. Cabin Fever, But Like, Reversed (Cabin Cooler)
[Sometime after that little episode, Lenka relocates to Cabin 2, the side of it where his bunk is, because there's still that hole in the wall that needs patching and his focus also needs patching. There's a dam there that needs rebuilding and while the hole in Cabin 2 isn't nearly big enough to need the amount of wood he seems to have brought with him, it's at least good that he has extra supplies (maybe).
He's using a familiar set of tools (hint: they're Stan's, thanks ex-grunkle) and concentrating very hard on hammering at things and possibly hammering harder than he strictly needs to. Probably nobody who comes up to him is going to get his attention on the first try.
On the bright side, the cabin is getting fixed.
On the downside, he gets a little too focused on his task and, eventually, moves away from the patched hole and starts... lining up wood by the windows. Tier 2 is tierrible and really, you should leave no hole in your defenses unpatched. (He may need another wake-up call, sorry cabin.)]
i
[and that's how Mitsuru finds him staggering towards the lake]
-- Utsugi!
[something grabs at his arm (the uninjured one) to attempt to jerk him back to reality before he submerges himself in the water]
What on Earth. . .?

'Today, I'm being a bit more direct. Complete the puzzles, and take them to archer - who will tell you if they're correct or not. If they're right. then you'll get another puzzle to solve. The answer for all 4 will most likely be something that'll help.'

Thursday morning MEETING!!
Everyone, if I may have your attention. I spoke to Zaberisk on Monday, and she suggested we hold a meeting and listen to what everyone has to say. I believe it's again time for us to compile the information we've received throughout the past week, with a focus on any information one may have on how to free the souls of the deceased.
[top priorities!1]
Zaberisk informed me that if Sol were to release their souls now, the deceased would simply. . . disappear. There must be a way to circumvent that, although I don't know what it is. My initial though is that these souls will need a vessel upon release so they don't vanish into ether, but if anyone else has more information on these, please speak up now.
[a breath]
And finally. . . for those who have yet to figure it out, this week we have all been paired with another camper with whom we now share an emotional and physical bond. Please be aware of this link, and try not to injure yourself. Otherwise, your partner will feel it.
[and with that, she steps aside to let anyone else who has information speak. as always, her notes are available for additions and editing]

[Therefore he trusts that information. ]
