WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

That's just kind of what it's like when someone inspires you, isn't it?

I mean, it can be...but when someone inspires you it's more like a airy, floaty, proud feeling, you know? If it's like that, you usually only think about the part of them that's inspirational. But if you like someone, you wanna think about EVERYTHING about them. They make you feel all warm and happy, and you want to know more and more about them and be close to them even if they're not doing anything inspiring. If you like them, they could even do something really uncool and you'd still think they were great.

And also you probably want to hold their hands and feel how warm they are and kiss them and...

Well, maybe you're too little for that last one.

[ ... normally Zoa would be a very happy puppy about the fact that Mitsuru is expressing care? But right now is... difficult, even for a zombie's limited brain capacities. He does look up though. Expression.... awkward. ]

... Are dose kinda feelins normal? Like, everybody feel dat stuff? I... I ain't really know much about feelin' stuff. I only jus' started feelin' all'a dis stuff a lil' bit before comin' to camp, so...

Of course they are! Everybody finds somebody that makes them feel that way sooner or later! Especially at our age. Falling in love is what being young is all about!

... Is it always like dat? If you... REALLY like somebody? Like... you really trust 'em? Would fight for 'em?

Absolutely. If you like them, you'd do anything for them to be safe and happy. You'd give everything to protect them.

[ Sounding...a good bit more serious about this part than the rest of it. ]

... Den bein' comrades ain't dat different den dat. Bein' comrades mean you as close to somebody as you can possibly be. It means you ain't wanna leave 'dem, dat dey're de most important people you got.

Yeah, but you don't usually wanna kiss them.

I ain't even sure I'd understand de idea of dat anyway...

[ He's mostly just... seen hand holding! ]

But I think it's prolly de difference between... wantin' to be close-close to someone and knowin' you close but not wantin' to hold deir hand, I guess?

Yeah, it's just like that! You can want to be close to someone - really really close, like a teammate or family or even a best friend - but that doesn't mean you want to be with them like that y'know? You don't stare at them because they're super attractive, you don't want to hold them in your arms and feel their warmth, or hold their hand as long as you can...those feelings are something totally different than just being comrades. It's hard to describe, 'cause it's something you just FEEL. You're just drawn to them and you can't explain why!
