Week 6
Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?
The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?
The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.
The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

You really can't go any higher?
no subject
No. I tried, when we first got here...I fell in the lake.
no subject
Well...if you can't go higher, can you go faster?
no subject
[ Marisa can indeed go very, very fast. And does. Enjoy yourself, Floe. ]

[ BEST. DAY. EVER. She is DEFINITELY going to enjoy herself, hanging onto the other girl's waist and laughing out loud as they zoom around the camp. After a while of it, she's seized by a sudden whim and calls out over the sound of the wind rushing past them. ]
Marisa, let's do a Ri Maajon!
no subject
A...what now?
no subject
[ She lifts a hand and draws a symbol in the air with her finger. ]
Can you do it?
no subject
[ She doesn't need to tell Floe to hang on tight, right? Marisa's attempt isn't spot-on, but she does it fairly well. ]
no subject
That was great! Do another! [ She mimes another symbol: a spiral, then straight back the opposite direction. How are you at sharp turns, Marisa? ]
no subject
She does this one a little better if only because it's simpler. ]
no subject
[ The next shape is five points connected by sharp, straight lines. Floe's really excited by now, so it may be almost too fast to follow. ]
Falcon Ri Maajon!
1/2
For the first two or so turns she gets it right. ]
2/2
Marisa comes back to her senses soon enough to look down at the lake getting bigger and bigger below them. Swallowing her nausea, she links an arm around Floe's waist and sputters out: ]
H-Hold on tight--!
no subject
Waaah- !
[ Yeah, somebody's definitely getting a mouth full of lake water here. ]
no subject
hey, isn't water pretty hard if you crash into it too fast and too high? shouldn't they be dead, right now?
probably. but even underwater there's a glowing hexagram beneath their feet, and they slowly rise back up out of the water, broom hovering about a foot above the surface. thank fucking god she's been messing with water magic all day, it wasn't too hard for her to remember how to make some sort of cushion.
they are drenched but alive. ]
...fuck.

...I think I took too sharp a turn upwards, ze.
[ YOU THINK ]
no subject
[ She's absolutely laughing and grinning, utterly unconcerned with the whole "we totally almost ate shit" thing. Because they DIDN'T, and besides, who HASN'T crashed into the water once or twice? Happens to the best of us.
And she's just SO giddy from the rush of the flight (and Marisa's indulgences there) that she acts without thinking; doing what comes somewhat naturally to a sibylla after a particularly intense flight. She puts a hand to Marisa's cheek to turn the girl's face toward her own, leaning in for a quick, chaste kiss. ]

Marisa's a little startled (and her face is just a touch red, though that might also be the adrenaline), but she doesn't jerk away or reject it. A KISS FROM A CUTE GIRL SHOULD BE TREASURED REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES. ]
D'you kiss all the people who give you rides, or am I just special for almost killin' you?
no subject
O-oh, whoops, I- s-sorry! I wasn't thinking, it was just so- ! It reminded me of back home so I, I uhh...
