Week 6

WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

The altar is Sol? [ Frowning a bit. That...makes a certain amount of sense, and yet. ] If it really is growing, the whole thing would be Sol, not just the altar. We know it goes underground, but do we know how far? It might be the whole campsite by now.

We couldn't see how far it went, because Sol yelled.

[He sounds a little regretful and a little chagrined, because he feels so useless at things like this -- it's not like they can destroy the lodge in an attempt to dislodge Sol, so to speak, and if it really is the whole campsite then... what can they do, if they need to help him?

He's used to large-scale problems, but this is really something else.]

I don't know if digging around the lodge would help...?

I dunno either...I'm just not sure that it's the altar we have to focus on. I mean, it might be. That would make sense. But if Lilith is talking so much about the locked door in the lodge, wouldn't it make even more sense if Sol was in there? Like, what else could it be that they don't want us to mess with? Of course, if it's all connected throughout the camp, I guess the origin doesn't matter so much...

[ She's more thinking out loud than really presenting any theories, so it's a bit rambling. ]

There's gotta be something we're missing. If it's too dangerous to approach the locked room, we need some other direction. Maybe it is the altar after all.

I think the locked door might be important, but -- we need to find out how to help the souls, first. If what Mitsuru and Lillith are saying is right.

[He's... pretty sure the dead would know best concerning the state of themselves, but it's not like he knows how things work over there. And he's not entirely sure either how they're expected to be able to help when all they have is this camp, a few flashdrives and the hunters and Red and Archer to either back them up or box them in.

It's always frustrating to think about how much they can't do, but it's a little better when they're here wracking their brains together.]

The altar might be a good place to start. Maybe Sol is a little less mad now...
