WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

There's shrieking from his side, sounds of pain, begging for help, his help. Catches in words from the agony, shrill and desperate, and he knows even now that he can't do anything, not a single thing to save her--

He ducks his head down, shaking it even as he presses his hands harder against his ears.]

[ He's glad that's it's not exactly hurt? Like hurt feels bad. ]

I'm used to it being casual. Can't really get serious with a war going on. [ Since its high likely he'll forget them... ] So this is pretty new to me. Actually seriously liking people is new.

He relaxes slightly, though not completely as she seems to come to her senses once more. A bit paranoid still, as they all are.]

Hallucinations for you as well, I see.

[ He watches him chew on it and then brings his hand over to his mouth to press a kiss against it. He's already thinking about the conversation with Ren. ]

Hey, only I get to decide what I deserve. [ There's a pause as he rubs the back of his head. ] But I do think you should know more about me before deciding anything. I'm not really good at sharing stuff. The kids kind of made me realize it, yo.

[That's a much more encouraging response than the ones Floe had been giving before which makes cautiousness seem a lot less necessary. It;s pretty much all he needs to hear to decide he's just gonna jump up over the back of the pew real quick.]

[ Nine is getting up and walking over to her to throw her in or not? ]

[It's actually been a very long time since he's watched a movie of any kind -- he'd never had the setup, and then he'd never really had the time, so the closest he's gotten lately is either Dr. Sakaki's lectures or, er, the Wii discs. Lenka's not... entirely sure how to honor Stan. He certainly didn't know him as well as he could have.

But he'd tried, in his own way, to protect them and that's... more than anyone else in this world has done apart from Red. He's curled on the floor with his Arc propped nearby, because of course he brought it too. Not that the Aragami can appreciate the multimedia experience, but you know what.

Spread out near him are two cartons of ice cream and two slabs of fudge, along with a pack of cookies. It's a free for all. He's not actually moving to eat any, staring distractedly at the movie.]

[ Ganking one of those cartons. This is his now and he will eat it all if no one steps him. ]

[Well, as long as he leaves at least one carton, Lenka's not going to stop him. Someone else can wrestle him for that carton, or maybe Lenka will speak up if it really starts disappearing alarmingly fast. Who knows.]

Oh. Nine... Have you seen this movie?

[A lot of it seems to just be... text... And insane names. He's very lost. Please be deeply lost with him.]

[ He's hungry and he really doesn't know why :( ]

I haven't. I haven't really seen any movies, yo. What's it about?

Nah, just kidding. That's what it should get, but Lance hears this and immediately his lips quirk into a smile before he bursts into delighted laughter.]

[ plops down next to him. after a day of lake prep, watching a movie sounds fun, but....what is this? ]

Is this one'a those stuffy dramas about Western ladies and their inability to be tied down by a man?

[ He's going to wait for her brain to start to process before he does actually pick her up. ]

But first...[ And then he's going to run to the water. Guess what? He's jumping in and taking her with! ]

[And he's feeling the echoes of her confusion and distraction, to the point where he nearly misses that she hesitated and -- why does it feel like they're both stumbling over this perfectly mundane conversation? It's something he's spoken about any number of times in his life with any number of people, and rather like talking about the weather or the time, something he could do in his sleep by now.

Possibly he's done it in his sleep before, too. Sorry, Cabin 2.]

The... Aragami that we fight. We focus on -- on incapacitating them and exploiting weak points. That's why we need the Arcs to be like this.

[Don't forget the fact that he's wielded something absurdly bigger and more unwieldy, but we're not talking about that for now; there might be a hint of wry exasperation when he thinks back to the experimentation they've been doing with his weapon.]

[ She shrieks as she goes tumbling down because Nine, you dick ]

[ Worth it! Laughing as he tries to get away from her quick. FLEEING. ]

[ Hey, as long as she's not in the middle of something, she's usually willing to give a ride. GET THAT ADRENALINE GOIN. ]

[ Floe is...Floe, so Marisa doesn't make the ascent up gentle. NO BUILDUP, ALL ROLLERCOASTER. They probably startle a few birds as they head up. ]

[He'd apologize for his cabinmate if he had any clue what was happening. As it is, Nine will get the ice cream to himself for a little longer. Maybe he'll accidentally give his partner a stomachache in revenge...? Lenka gives him a curious glance, briefly -- he seems hungrier than usual?]

[ Was that even the name. Nine takes another spoonful of it. And yup, hopefully his partner will have a stomachache or at least INTENSE REGRET the longer this goes on. ]
