WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

A water-breathin' spell!

[ The inside of it remains hollow, enough for him to breathe, but it's hard to hear Marisa from the outside like...well, like he's stuck his ears into some water. ]

[one would think that the lack of a voice would be comforting. no obvious motive, no specific demand to kill someone. . . shouldn't that mean they can relax, for the very first time since arriving at this camp?]

[Mitsuru also feels that weight of expectation bearing down on her shoulders, the paranoia ramping up her defenses to eleven. for some reason, it's stronger today, as though some outside force is amplifying it by ten fold. it causes her to take her steps through camp carefully and cautiously, and every so often, she finds herself glancing over her shoulder to ensure she isn't being followed. hm]

[she also feels. . . something else, a small twinge of pain in her arm as she walks. she can't recall having hurt it during the run in the Metaverse. maybe it's just pain from stress? either way, she's gently flexing her arm in an attempt to dismiss the painful twinges when she passes by the grass fields and sees Lenka practicing]

[Thanks in large part to Archer's stupid useful advice, UGH.

The problem with angry chopping is that sooner or later you're going to cut yourself. Which is exactly what happens to Shirou. He tries to suppress the OUCH, but Archer's fancy Servant ears can probably pick it up just fine.]

[ His shoulders drop with relief at the smile. He returns with one of his own. ]

[Eddie's sitting on the shore, his face is red and he's trying SO hard not to stare. He might have a boyfriend, but that doesn't make him immune from the effects of seeing scantily clad girls]

[narrows her gaze at him, before she speaks up]

[ She floats up a water ball, and sticks her arm straight through it, hand emerging perfectly dry. ]

[Ren needs to be away from Archer for a bit- and while he doesn't feel the urge to sit and sing that he did last week... the chapel IS nice and quiet.]

I can't help being distracted by you being a huge asshole over there!

[UGH now he has to wash blood off of vegetables and everything is gross and stupid Archer with his stupid slicked back hair and stupid smirk and stupid everything]

Monday

[Right after Archer arrives and settles in Ren can be found walking from the Lodge to Cabin 4 and back again- carrying anything that no one has claimed there to keep safe. He looks outright livid, stomping about. Though eventually, he takes a break and can be seen looking at something while leaning against the C4 wall. He's shirtless due to all the physical effort, a red handkerchief or scarf tied around his forehead to keep his hair out of his face]

This was really in there? Huh...

[ Later you might find him poking through the pile, picking things up to look at. Hey, he might have something of yours! Though he looks oddly fasinated by everything he finds, and spends a long time playing with each item curiously]

Whoa! Are you trying to test it out?

[ Are they going to go swimming? ]

[Lucky you Nine, Ren is still here! Getting dressed for the day and looking half asleep.]

[On some level, he was aware that someone was watching -- the presence is familiar enough that though Lenka stiffens when he first notices it his movements quickly become fluid again, or at least as fluid as they can be in his current physical condition which... isn't peak. But he's been doing his best to keep in some semblance of fighting form.

It helps with sleep, too, under the swarm of too many visions and everything wrought in the camp. Today the crawling, desperate feeling of it is almost actually physical, buzzing in his ears and curled around his shoulders.

They jump when Mitsuru speaks up, he is absolutely jumpy enough to have been startled despite noticing her, but he lowers his Arc after a moment to face her. At least he has the presence of mind to look a little sheepish about it, or perhaps about the unexpected compliment.]

... Thanks. There's not much I can do with it here, but I -- wanted to. Just in case.

[That twinge is probably dying down to just a dull occasional ache now, less noticeable once he relaxes.]

This is the longest period of time he's ever been summoned, and it's awful.]

He's already feeling a little better, seeing Shirou react like this.]

He's not sure how much Archer knows, or how much he should know, given what Red's said about what he's here to do. The whole camp knows -- or has some idea -- of why he's here since Stan gave them the lowdown over the weekend before last. And the yelling this morning. But...]

There's a lot to know about the stone. We've learned a lot. Some of it, Red didn't know. I don't know if you'd know it, either.

Are you going to grant her request, with what you know now?

[ He's not going to lie, it is hard with the whole rock kid can take him over to kill someone, but... he knows it's the rock that did it. So it's complicated like everything else between them ]

[When she says that, he pauses - and stares directly at her for a moment.]
