WEEK 6

Last week had been pretty brutal, leaving scars on everyone in camp. A murder driven by paranoia-induced visions, committed by and against two of the youngest members of camp, has left everyone reeling. If this is the way murders will go, what's to happen next?

The humidity is dropping off some, but the heat is staying strong. The campers will need to find new ways to beat the heat. A delivery is due this week though, so maybe the camp's deliveryman will have some ice cream?

The WiiU and current games are all here, but there are no new games. Sorry everyone, you're stuck with what you have. Usagi and Boa are now gone from the Mii menu, but that strange faceless Mii is still there, staring as always. His grin seems to have grown though, and the Mii menu music has changed as well. The other Miis seem scared of the grinny Mii, and they are staying far away from him. Now the only selectable Mii is grin-face. How weird.

The counselors have said they need 'more time' to end this, but just how much time do they need? Can the campers really stall long enough for the counselors to finish their plan? And how does that knowledge sit with them, knowing that each delayed week means less campers will make it in the end?

[Gonta's dressed nicely today- as in, he got the suit he's wearing in his icons back. But that won't stop him from running around camp with his insect cage and a butterfly net.

Eventually, the guys who are enjoying actual outdoor activities at camp will meet. Gonta waves as Eddie bikes by.]

Tossing the bag once in the air and catching it again, he strides to the pile to begin rooting through everything.]

[Aka they're still in the room, carefully stashed away for later because there is no fucking way he's passing up on mana and health restoratives that work even on servants.]

[A little less enthusiastic than usual due to Stan's departure, but sure.

But. Uh. Hopefully the big guy isn't too much for the broom.]

[ Nine just scratches his head. ]

What about remedies? Or the Tiger whiskey?

It does, yes. Knowing your tenure with them may be involuntary gives us a better idea of what kind of organization it is.

[all she has on them so far is that there are creepy scientists in their employ, they run a lot of experiments, they oversee experimentation on over a hundred other "anomalies," and Red believes what they're doing is for the "good of the world." or something]

For all the things the camp has made him confront about himself, that particular little detail hasn't come up. Still, even though he doesn't know what Archer's words are close to uncovering, he's pretty sure he doesn't want to deal with it. Personal growth is exhausting and painful and he's honestly not interested in doing more of it here and now.]

[Eddie brakes, turning the bike and skidding to a stop with a grin. He grins at Gonta, looking for all the world like a normal kid instead of one who's facing a life or death situation.]

Hey, Gonta! Holy shit, are you wearing a suit?

[So after his session of Angry Cooking with Archer, Shirou's mostly been sticking to himself because it turned out all kinds of upsetting. Later, though, he'll wander by the pile o'stuff and stop to investigate.

After a bit of digging, he pulls out a pendant, staring at it for a moment before pocketing it.

That done, he turns to Ren.]

You saved all this stuff, huh? I'm sure Stan would appreciate it.

[finalguard]

[ After that moment of pause in which Boa's body almost seems like it doesn't have any commands to follow at all, his smile is back. ]

You're welcome.

[ He looks down at his arm where Mitsuru had just been touching him. ]

Friends look out for each other and all.

[ Boa looks appropriately startled by the outburst, but the confusion is gone as soon as Eddie controls his volume a little. ]

Really? Huh... It seemed like something you'd be roped into by Richie if nothing else.

[ Where Eddie gets a small bit of hesitation, Richie gets a whole lot more of it. Even in his zombie form, Boa's smile drops and changes into a sheepish and uncertain expression. ]

I know that. What's happening here... some of it might be worse than death.

[He closes his eyes for a moment to banish the images of Saturday, the coral dead and Ren and everything afterwards.

Three weeks ago, when the god banished them into the dark.

He needs to talk to Red, soon, himself. Figure out where they all stand now that Archer is here, what they can do and what they can't, now.]

[For the moment, he plants his God Arc into the ground, allowing himself to lean on it and take a breather for a little while. It's unpleasant to be sweaty in this sort of weather, the sheen of it sitting and running against his skin along with the heavy air to make it hard to relax still. He ignores it.

Focuses on voices, speech. There's a part of him that had hoped the hallucinations would... if not leave, at least abate a little now that they'd satisfied the ritual. There's the briefest surge of fear and frustration before he tamps it down and focuses again.

Outwardly, there's only a frown to signal he was thinking of anything else.]

Your movements are a lot sharper. But I guess it would be different, with the differences in our weapons.

[Otherwise he would have asked her for tips. But yeah. They have really different weapon types, oops.]
