INTRODUCTION

A sound wakes you up, muffled yet somehow near - the sound of a trumpet being played, from somewhere outside the building you're in. There's no fog, no headache as you greet a new day - only the confusion of being in an unfamiliar cabin, lying on top of an unfamiliar bunk bed in somewhere that is certainly not where you last closed your eyes. You're also pretty sure you weren't wearing this outfit before you somehow arrived here - so that's an uncomfortable thought. Yet, the cabin you're in is comfortable, but looking in the steamer trunks near the bunks will only result in finding normal toiletry items and sets of underwear and more of the same strange uniform. Your personal items have been stripped away - well, in the cases they're not absolutely essential for you to live.

Stepping outside, you find yourself in a very forested (and ungodly humid) area, outlooking a wide lake - there's cabins and other buildings next to yours, but the main thing that'll most likely attract attention are the three adults standing out in front of the largest building, bearing the name 'LODGE' on it in large letters. A woman, an older man, and a man in full priest garb, tooting away on a trumpet - your wakeup call, apparently. Just in front of them is a picnic table littered with markers and 'MY NAME IS' nametags.

Maybe you should go and demand some answers? Or will you just decide to explore...and try to find a way out of this weird camp?

[What a mind-blowing combination of glittering jewels, heavenly symbolism and feminine majesty. IS THIS AN ANGEL??? No, it's a ... sailor dress, that's a bit more classical than she expected. Though the high boots and over-sized ribbons are undeniably fashionable. She stares a bit as if discerning whether or not this is something dangerous.]

I'm a pretty-suited Sailor Guardian. We're magical girls. I have a few powers, like my tiara and the Cutie Moon Rod.

I know I don't look like much, but I've been fighting monsters for awhile now.

Are there a lot of you, then? The names for the group and the weapons are a mouthful. If you ask me, you could use an image consultant.

We're mostly just called the Sailor Guardians. There's five of us. Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus aren't here.

[ Whiiich is a worry. She's not used to fighting alone anymore! ]

Uuuusually I'm fighting energy-stealing monsters. Occasionally, though, they're normal people who were turned into them.

Just occasionally? I thought all monsters were transformations of regular people.

Not where I'm from. I'm glad that the ones you know of can be returned to normal people, though. I'm not sure I have the power to do that anymore.

[ SHE KIND OF. LOST THE MOON STICK AT THE NORTH POLE. ]

I mean, my tiara has a healing move, but it's not, you know, "purify this person of the evil energies that made them a monster" levels.

[WHAT KIND OF HEROINE LOSES AN ENTIRE POWER. LOSING SOME COOL POINTS HERE.]

Sounds pretty weak. I mean, what's the point of healing a regular wound? After you purify the monster, everything's supposed to get fixed anyway. That's what Ladybug can do.

[ I mean Word of God is she kind of rewound time and rewrote it with her dying wish? Which is how it's. Still fucking spring all the way through R. ]

...I wish it worked like that where I'm from. But it doesn't. Everyone still remembers, and the damage remains. People can even die if the monsters stealing their energy isn't taken care of fast enough. And sometimes...

[ She winces, thinking back to their battle to reach the D-Point. How all of her friends died horribly. ]

...It's a war. Us against the monsters and whoever's behind them. And it isn't pretty. We don't get to have normal lives because of it. And sometimes people get really, really hurt.
