WEEK 7
A new counselor, and a brutal execution. Camp just continues to surprise, doesn't it?
The rain is back, though this time it is in sprinkles and light showers. It helps bring the temperature down, but in the breaks between those mists the humidity is brutal.
The WiiU is still here, but for some reason none of the games will play. Instead all you can do is watch the faceless Mii on the Mii menu while the remaining Miis (minus Floe, Gonta, and Shirou) cower off to the sides.
Eleven of you are left. You have made it past the 'keep ten alive to the start of week 7' warning that Red gave, but what will happen now? Is this it? Is this who will survive? Or will more death happen? And what's going to happen to the dead?
A lot of questions still need answering.

[she's learned how to communicate with Red better these past few weeks, and she's glad for it. but today. . . she doesn't start off their conversation with trivialities. today? she goes straight for it]
Red.
[hi]
Do you know someone named Marona?
no subject
...I should ask how you know that name, but I think I already know the answer.
[>T]
She was a camper here once. Why?
no subject
[pauses, then bites her lip, thinking about how to put this]
Sakasaki told me to ask you about her. Perhaps in relation to transferring the souls of the dead to other vessels.
no subject
That gets the gears turning in her mind.]
Marona was...well, her world had a special term for it, but she was basically a necromancer. She could take the spirits of the dead and put them into anything to give them temporary life. She couldn't do it in camp though, she said 'the spirits aren't here to grab,' or something along those lines.
Honestly that is why I always thought they were gone for good. Marona saw their spirits leave their bodies when people died every week. Since she couldn't find them after, I thought they were gone for good.
no subject
I don't think it's because they're "gone for good," though.
[she can't think that. not now]
I think it's perhaps because Sol is keeping them somewhere else. Somewhere. . . safe-ish. Just as the lake creature said.

Not if they're kept behind a door, rather than near the altar itself.

If Ichigo wants to check, I can open the door for him to look. So long as he doesn't go inside.

This may be something you have to take on faith and faith alone, Red.

[yeah. . .]
I suppose I simply worry that opening the door might let their spirits escape. Would you mind if we waited to confirm whether this is okay with the deceased first? If it is, then I'm sure Ichigo would be more than willing to check for us.
no subject
[Or until Ichigo does, if he gets mcmurdered before the end of camp.]
no subject
Thank you, Red.
I'll report back to you with our next course of action. But in the interim. . .
Would Marona be able to transfer the souls of the deceased into new bodies? And, perhaps, our souls a well?

. . .
May I ask what happened to her?
[a foolish question. she knows. it's probably the same thing that happened to very camper. but, just in case. . .]
no subject
[A foolish question indeed, but Red still answers it.]
no subject
I'm sorry. Were. . . you two close?
