WEEK 7
A new counselor, and a brutal execution. Camp just continues to surprise, doesn't it?
The rain is back, though this time it is in sprinkles and light showers. It helps bring the temperature down, but in the breaks between those mists the humidity is brutal.
The WiiU is still here, but for some reason none of the games will play. Instead all you can do is watch the faceless Mii on the Mii menu while the remaining Miis (minus Floe, Gonta, and Shirou) cower off to the sides.
Eleven of you are left. You have made it past the 'keep ten alive to the start of week 7' warning that Red gave, but what will happen now? Is this it? Is this who will survive? Or will more death happen? And what's going to happen to the dead?
A lot of questions still need answering.

So once they're out in the middle if the field, Red is right up in his face and talking very quietly, like she's trying not to be overheard.]
Just how many people did you tell?
no subject
Red I need more context...
no subject
Nine just asked me if he could be there the next time you come for one of our visits.
How many people did you tell about those visits?
no subject
[but now it hits him why she 'attacked' him, and he straightens up, putting on a stern face]
They all know, Red.
no subject
[Yeah, she just. Looks tired. And extremely disappointed.]
Ren.
Every time one of you mentions something in this camp that you shouldn't know, I have to doctor the footage of every camera in that area. That takes time and energy I honestly don't have anymore after six weeks of constantly doing it.
You getting medicine from me definitely falls under 'things nobody should know', because my superiors will have my ass if they find out.
no subject
I'm sorry, but I had to.
[he doesn't look cowed at all. Sad, but firm]
They were going to ask eventually anyway. Why I suddenly stopped acting weird. Why I left to meet up with you. But more important... we have to share info. You want us to figure this out, find another way. But we can't do that if we're all keeping secrets and finding excuses, arent we all paranoid enough? I know you want this to end too.
...I saw the look on your face when you came back, you know.
no subject
[Yeah she. She was aware of all of those meetings.]
no subject
...watch what happened before it. With the dead. Think about what they said. Please.

It's not so simple. We have everything to lose if you're wrong. A containment breach would result in the entire area getting 'cleansed' just to be safe. Cleansed by fire.
It's not just our lives at stake if you're wrong. It's everyone within 10 square miles of here. Are you ready to take on the burden of their lives if you're wrong?
no subject
The zombies, they act out like this is all a normal camp usually, right? No fighting, always happy?
Did you know Talcott tried to break up with me?
no subject
I try not to pry into your personal lives.
[Yes she saw it.]

[She did tell you not to poly as teens, bruh.]
no subject
Red, I love you but you make it hard to convince you of stuff.
no subject
[She says that with a slight bit of humor to her voice, but that dies down a moment later.]
...I'm old, Ren. I've told you before, but I don't think you understand just how old that is. I've seen a lot here. ...too much, probably.
This world isn't a kind one. Things like the rock spirit, they're ignorant of human needs at best. People die all the time here because a supernatural entity didn't understand what it was doing. And that's not even counting all the ones that actively try to kill people.
That's why I have to be careful. When I joined this organization, I took an oath, and it's one I genuinely believe in. You have given me reason to doubt what I know about the rock spirit, but until I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're right, I have to take that 'what if' into account.

[she came another world just like they did, and if those bodies can last for, what, 60 years...]
What would it take? What if... what if you could talk to Them yourself?
no subject
[She might be trying it on Tuesday.]
Mostly I need to know it's them and not Sol pretending to be them. I need to know it for a fact, not just any 'but maybes'.

[REN ARE YOU STUPID???]

[The phone alone wouldn't convince her, basically. It would add to the doubt, but it's not enough to convince her.]
no subject
But... even if you can't believe me, you have my phone. Use your sword and your skills, fiddle with it, see what you can learn. My friend Futaba was able to hack it to be able to remote activate it, so I know it's as much real tech as it is magic. Even if you set it off all it takes is hitting it again to escape.
Please, it might be our best way to communicate with them. And with Sol too.
no subject
I'll think about it.
So long as the rest of you try to keep your talk about stuff you shouldn't know to specific times, so I don't have to keep hunting down every bit of footage that needs to be altered.
