WEEK 7

A new counselor, and a brutal execution. Camp just continues to surprise, doesn't it?

The rain is back, though this time it is in sprinkles and light showers. It helps bring the temperature down, but in the breaks between those mists the humidity is brutal.

The WiiU is still here, but for some reason none of the games will play. Instead all you can do is watch the faceless Mii on the Mii menu while the remaining Miis (minus Floe, Gonta, and Shirou) cower off to the sides.

Eleven of you are left. You have made it past the 'keep ten alive to the start of week 7' warning that Red gave, but what will happen now? Is this it? Is this who will survive? Or will more death happen? And what's going to happen to the dead?

A lot of questions still need answering.

[He seems momentarily thrown by the inclusion of names that he started himself. That really doesn't work for this style of joke, huh? He recovers after a few moments, though, reactions a little slower than usual but with a certain doggedness.]

... Amos.

[Operation: Knock Knock Knockin' on Heaven's Door continues.]

[Well that's a slightly concerning delay. Maybe it's not just his imagination about Lenka not looking too good today?]

[He's just a little shaky, it's fine. They're all fine. ☆]

[His delivery sure could still use some work, but at least he doesn't give anything away this time despite how truly bad the joke is. Maybe his true talent is just delivering the corniest jokes with the most poker of faces...?]

[...That is ghastly, Lenka. This is not an opinion Zance shares though, so he laughs brightly.]

Aw man, I don't want to open the door for those. Why not something cute and cuddly like a kitten or a puppy?

[Zance sure is a cheerful fellow when he isn't flouncing; Lenka scratches his head a little, because obviously he didn't think that hard about the joke. At least when it comes to knock knock jokes, they're normally short and easy to remember. Nobody's working at 100% brain capacity this week.

He was not prepared for the knock knock meta.]

Well... there aren't a lot of kittens or puppies around here...

[Just endless deadly divine mosquitoes or something. And he's never actually met a puppy. Somebody should remedy that eventually. Somehow.]

Okay, point. But still, it's a joke, a joke doesn't have to match what is or isn't here at camp.

[He shakes his head, making a truly awful noise as he does so. Think stone grinding against stone. This seems to slow the movement down a little, but otherwise Lance doesn't seem to notice this change in his physical condition.]

Why do you look sick today?

[He flinches a little when he hears that sound. He'd checked over Lance after the execution, even if it was in passing; he can take a wild guess at why that's happening, though it's one thing to know and another to listen to it, what is likely the coral of vertebrae sliding past each other.]

It's just... what I thought of first. [he manages to keep his voice even, and it helps that Lance distracts him the next moment, Lenka blinking a little before shaking his head] ... I'm not sick. It's just, uh, the weather in camp this week.

[Sure, Sol can be the weather. And that sound isn't distant thunder, it's just the lowkey occasional grumbles of his empty stomach. They really could use some sun.]

[Lance is just... giving Lenka a curious look as he hears that rumbly sound.]

...Are you on a diet to impress Marisa?

[Zance, why are you like this.

Lenka's head snaps up at that, eyes blinking a little wide and a startled flush on his cheeks as he seems to scramble for words. He spends a while on that, because despite the coral-related circumstances of their... everything he hadn't really expected the coral to notice. Welp.]

I-I wouldn't-- [he interrupts himself, or more like, his stomach helpfully protests] No, that's really not it.

[Please believe him when he says he would not willingly starve himself. Had enough of that back home, okay.]

Uh-huh.

[Lance grins, seemingly thoroughly unconvinced. Sorry, Lenka. Apparently your stomach noises are telling him something different than your mouth noises.]

Come on, Romeo. Time to go to the kitchen. I'll carry you if you're feeling weak.

I'm not-- I'm really not--

[He turns a little redder, though whether that's thanks to the stomach speaking, the totally inaccurate nickname or the finishing blow of Zance trying to offer a ride to the kitchen is up for debate. He started shaking his head at the start of Romeo and he's still going.]

I don't think the kitchen is a good idea. [the food still smells good and he'll just get hungrier for inevitable betrayal] And why are you calling me that.

Heh. It's pretty cute when you blush~

[And that would be the zombie reaching over to give Lenka's cheek a teasing poke.]

I can change it to Romoe if you like that better. Going hungry is a pretty terrible idea too, so come on, get on my back and let's go.

[And that would be Lenka trying to duck his head out of the way, because people really like doing the cheek poke thing to him for some reason too. Have some general grumbling noises because somehow he'd forgotten what happens if you get this particular coralfam in too good a mood.]

Not cute. Or either of those names... [and he's still pretty leery of dealing with the kitchen but at this point: A. Maybe Archer has sworded out the soup and B. Maybe it's about time to distract Zance] ... We can go to the kitchen. But I can walk. It's fine.
