As you wake up, nothing seems different - beyond that you feel like you could legitimately eat something without vomiting. And that, just like all the times before, means only one thing -

- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.

Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.

[Chuuta really wanted to spend his 15th birthday at home, maybe go out to an amusement park and invite his friends from work and school, and not have to deal with any aliens other than his coworkers.

Instead he struggles awake, slowly climbs down out of his bed and walks over to the lodge. He's planning on going to the kitchen and pull out all the food he worked on last night, but he has to go through the mess hall first. So it makes sense to look and see if there are any obvious corpse parts.]

[There's a covered plate sitting in the middle of one of the tables. The covering is one of those wide silver ones, making it impossible to see what's under it.]

He continues to the kitchen.Because you don't just walk in on this shit on Fridays, it's been 7 weeks of this nonsense.]

Chuuta's going to look around in the kitchen for obvious corpse parts, and then start pulling food out of the fridge and putting it on the counter. There's more than enough breakfast here for everyone, and he grabs some rice and hard boiled eggs and starts eating.

He can deal with the probable clue in the dining hall later.]

Neither of them find anything, because the clue's back in the mess hall what ARE YOU EVEN DOING]

[Okay okay fine once he's finished eating he'll investigate properly I GUESS.

[Eating breakfast and not talking to each other, OBVIOUSLY.

But once that's done, Chuuta will come out to... investigate a clue with Mitsuru (ew).

If it's another decapitated head he's leaving.]

[SO ABOUT THAT

The moment Mitsuru lifts up the lid, it becomes very obvious that yes, There is a decapitated head sitting on the plate, a small pool of blood in it. In it's mouth is an apple, which is a bit on the nose for something like this.

But there's no disfigurement of the head itself, so the person it used to be is as clear as day.


Eddie Kaspbrak is dead.]

Looks like he's failed Boa once again.

Anyway please hold because Mitsuru.exe has crashed for the moment and needs to restart.]

[Chuuta steps back, staring at the head. At the apple in the mouth.]

Who is it? [He says, because he... he's not sure. His brain keeps misfiring, hallucinations creeping in and he can't figure out who he's seeing, the image in front of him keeps shifting.]

[It's Eddie.] [Drew says, quietly.]

... a-are you sure?

[It sure is.

Somewhere in the deadened silence of his senses, something in his brain fires up enough to recall that there are two he's supposed to be looking after, and if one is here then--

Sorry Chuuta but he's vanishing to warp to C3 in search of Richie.]

[Mitsuru's gone, or maybe he was never here. Chuuta steps forward to investigate the head (which still refuses to pick an identity, keeps shifting between too many people he knows).

Is he going to get framed again?]

[Thankfully, no. It looks like there's a mark on his neck, like a knife wound, but it's cut off right before you're really able to tell.

Beyond that, there's no other marks there.]

[Chuuta's just... going to keep checking for a minute. Is that it? Shouldn't there be more?

Someone should probably help shake him out of this or he's just going to keep staring at this head for a while.]

[What if he takes the apple out? Is there anything there? Is the apple a clue? There has to be something. He has to be missing something. He can't just be standing here in the mess hall holding his friend's head in his hands for no reason at all.]

Who..? [He asks again, because he can't figure it out, he can't figure out anything beyond the apple and the little cut right there on the neck and the expression.]

[It's Eddie.] [Drew says again. Is it?]

[There's nothing in the mouth.

There's nothing but Eddie's head, staring back at him.]

[Put it down.] [There's the voice in his head, the one that's not his but as close as his own thoughts. He puts the head down.]

[Keep looking for clues.]

[So he does. Anything else in the mess hall?]

Might be a good idea to take the head to where the torso is, though...]

[After watching to see what Chuuta gets, he'll do the same honestly, sitting away from the suspicious platter.

They can have a nice awkward breakfast before we get to the actual investigation thing.]
