As you wake up, nothing seems different - beyond that you feel like you could legitimately eat something without vomiting. And that, just like all the times before, means only one thing -

- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.

Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.

[Well, first off -

There's a bloody bag hanging from a tree, and two lake kittens are trying to climb up to get to it.

Trying and failing, since they're more made for the water, but trying nonetheless.]

[The kittens - which are actually a bit larger than the two everyone knows - hisses at him and run away into the lake.

The Bag is still there, and it's...kind of heavy looking? Also, still dripping. Ew.]

Getting up on the branch it's on and checking it. Can he bring it down or will he have to try opening up there? ]

With how squishy and gross it feels, it might be a better idea to open it when you're on the ground, though.]

So is there any markings on it? Limbs cut off neat? Male or female? ]

[The limbs are cut off cleanly, post mortem, with no hesitation. Kind of easy to tell who did that.

As for any markings, There are multiple stab wounds in the stomach, and the torso is definitely male.]

What kind of stab wounds? Something smaller like a knife or larger like a sword? Also smaller torso? Like is he going to feel it's familiar? ]

[It looks...like it was made with a weirdly shaped, large knife.

Also shit. Once he's done with that... it's going to hit him that it's familiar.
Is there a shirt on? Will he recognize it as something Eddie or Richie own or is it just the usual camp issued stuff? ]

[...shit shit shit. Nine is freezing and then he's up and running towards Cabin three.

If anyone else wants to check this area they can. Nine has to find the kids. ]

[ OKAY okay. So he sees Richie is in c3 through the window like a creeper. Curses and after convincing himself he needs to find the killer, he'll be back.

Going to check the body again. Is there anything on it or around it? Any hairs or something? Anything around the area? ]

[Well, it's definitely Eddie's Red polo on his body, and there's a weird knife mark at the neck stump, though it's hard to determine how deep it is just through that. Beyond that, nothing.

Nothing else is on the body, but as he looks around the area....

He might find a familiar pair of swords on the ground.]

[ Do the knife marks match any weird as hell ceremonial knives? Something out of Stan's piles?

Also his heart is going to stop when he sees those swords. They are pretty distinctive and he has studied them a lot...

Just going to run over to pick them up. Hey bb...why do we have to keep meeting during terrible times Is there blood or anything on them? ]

[No, it doesn't...it's just strange. And large.

The swords - which should be familiar - are bloodless. It looks like they were just dropped on the ground without much attempt to hide them, and there's a small vial next to them as well.

One sword is long, with a hole in the middle of it. The other is short, looking almost like a chef's knife.

They are, undoubtably, Ichigo's Zanpakuto, Zangetsu - and as Nine picks them up, he'll notice...

They're not impossibly heavy. They're light, and easily movable.

Like any other normal sword.]

[ He expects it to be heavy, but nearly falls backwards when he picks them up. ]

The hell?

[ He does not want to think about what that can mean. He can't think about what it can mean. Maybe... maybe Ichigo did something to them to make them lighter? ]

Hey, I'm going to put you away... have to find your owner to kick his ass. [ He says it quietly to the blades. He isn't sure how the hell it works, but maybe they can hear him? Nine will make them disappear though. They are clean and do not match the wounds on the torso.

Then Nine will pick up the vial. Is there anything in it? Liquid? Does it smell like anything? ]

[The vial is half-full with...something. There's a label on it reading "AMNESIAC" in big, blocky letters.]

[There's nothing in the mess hall except a head. Just that. Chuuta... can't just leave it. He can't. It used to be somebody, somebody who's name he can't keep a hold of, whose face keeps shifting and changing and blistering into static.

Maybe he should have wrapped it in something, but he's just holding it in his hands. It's... it's a puzzle, isn't it. It's a puzzle and he has one important piece. There must be others. There must be enough clues, but he doesn't have them.

Oh. There's Nine. Nine's holding something, there's something on the ground, there must be clues and puzzle pieces and an answer.]

[ He's thinking about licking it, but doesn't try. He does notice Chuuta. ]

Hey, don't come-

[ And he stops as soon as he realizes he's holding Eddie's head. Shit.

Nine puts the vial in his pocket and then walks over to him. ]

He's... his body is over here. Let me take him.

[Chuuta is breathing. One breath in, another breath out. Again, and again. Nine walks closer, and Chuuta holds out the head.]

It was in the mess hall. [He says, quiet and flat.]

[ He takes Eddie and then leans forward to bump his forehead against the top of Chuuta's head gently. Not hard like he usually does, but enough to give affection. Can't touch him between the blood and the head. ]

Richie...Richie knows.

[ Swallowing the lump there as he moves to the body. Just going to line up the head with the neck. So do we have any fun marks? ]
