WEEK 8

The weekend passes in a blue, and suddenly it is Monday again. Monday of week 8, the final week of camp. The last week to try and change your fate.

It's sunny and pleasant, with daytime temperatures lingering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping off into the 50s in the evening. It's pretty much the perfect weather for Michigan, and it's only a shame that it took this long to get to it.

The WiiU continues to be broken, though the creepy Mii is gone now. All of the Miis are, actually. All that can be seen is a variety of Pure Michigan ads, interestingly enough. A bit calmer than last week's visuals, but probably annoying since no games can be played.

There is one other notable change about camp: the counselors are nowhere to be found. There is plenty of food and some note left on how to run things, but otherwise the campers have been left to their own devices apparently.

On the main door to the lodge is a note that says "We will be back as soon as possible." written in Red's handwriting. What could this mean?

[ Though he looks pretty damn flustered saying this, he doesn't back down and now that he has been addressed, he makes proper eye contact. He's truly giving his best to say this stoically. ]

Accepting this scale would mean accepting that there is competition and that's just untrue.

Then she pulls back to look up at Lenka again, resting her head coyly on his shoulder. ]

C'mon, don't think about it too hard. Just be honest and give us a number! I won't be mad if mine is lower than Marisa's~

[Lance just putss his finger to Lenka's lips as he flails about the numbering system. Just hushing him up a little so he can listen to Floe explaining "the nine experience." He's raising an eyebrow though b/c nope, still not fully seeing it.

He will, however, slide his finger away from their poor hostage's lips and go back to cheek pokes once this explanation is over.]

[ His arms are crosses and he nods along. When it's over he kind of gives a considerate look for a moment before his eyes widen. ]

[ He finally says after a moment. The humor isn't there any more, but it might come off as he's pouting. ]

even though she's a zombie and just window shopping, Chuuta still turns bright red. And the red doesn't fade at Lance's judgement.]

Yeah. Think this will be the closest he'll get to growing his own.

[He looks up at him with a face that's smeared in curry.]

[Which is of course Lance's cue to pat his face and hands dry on a towel and grab his cell phone from out of his pocket.]

Already on it. Selfie time, c'mon!

[He moves close to Lenka, ignoring all signs of the guy's clear discomfort and angles the camera high. Despite his body quite literally turning to stone, the motion seems fairly fluid, like he's done this way too many times.]

Say cheese!

[ He tilts his head at that. ]

What kids from before?

[ Plenty of sacrifices sounds more like it for summoning though. Maybe this one works by taking others instead of the one that uses it?

While he considers it, his is smiling. He does find it compelling because he's a fighter, not a mage. Who needs magic resistance when you can break things?

And then she's there and biting him. ]

Wha- [ Boom. Knocked out. RIP Nine ]

Yeah, they do. It's the first three letters, yo.

[ Also his bday is his password to illemonati. ]

[...Honestly, being able to get that out with a straight face is kind of impressive. It's really a shame it's just the zombie though...]

...I wonder if you'll still be able to say that even when camp ends.

[A veiled challenge to the real one? Maybe.

(And, quietly, something else to look forward to, perhaps. Compliments from the zombie always feel somewhat empty, a little too much like the classmates who would wax poetic on him when he'd only just transferred, knowing nothing about him.

It would be nicer to hear from the real thing, if he could.)]

[ So why wouldn't he? But that makes him think... ]

If I can, are you finally going to give me an answer?

[ As far as he is concerned, there is something open here! And he doesn't wanna go home with this unspoken forever. Whatever the answer is, tell him. ]
