FINAL TRIAL

FINAL TRIAL

And now, you know the truth. Who's behind everything, and why.

And the question that hangs in the air now is - what's next?

It's noon when you all go down to the firepit, the sun hanging bright in the air. Red is there, seated calmly, watching all of you - and Archer is standing up, looking imposing.

It's time to talk.

... Kon. Sol. Hello.

[Lenka stays back near the doorway, watching over all the goings-on around the altar for now.

It's the first time he's really met Sol, of course, and it's been a long time since he's seen Kon. Things aren't really over until the last of them are saved. He promised not to leave anyone behind; and their plan has always included every last one of the campers, as well as the god. He gives them a gentle nod.]

I'll try and help, too. This won't be over until every one of us is out of here, and there's no more use for this camp.

[Kon nods in understanding.]

I'm gonna try teaching them how to do things the mod soul way, where they can take over bodies without infecting them and growing stones in them. That way they can hitch rides with people without hurting anyone.

That would probably be a good idea. Then you'd really be free, both of you.

[It sounds like Kon and Sol have a lot to learn from each other, a lot they could give each other even in their confinement, and so long as the camp itself is no longer going on... hopefully they'd be left in peace. Hopefully the chapel would be allowed to lie quietly under what sunlight there was, until the day they could walk out under it.

He's going to do his best to make sure that day comes.]

We'll be waiting, too.

[He means those who are currently making promises on the altar, but in the end it turns out they are going to have a lot more buddies than previously anticipated.]
