WEEK 1
After the hectic happenings of the weekend since you awoke here, the first official week of Camp is much...well, Calmer. Days are full of genuinely fun summer things - such as doing arts and crafts in the Rec Room (the theme this week is 'Macaroni', so expect plenty of cardboard picture frames and other assorted kitschy stuff scattered on the tables), playing the fully working Wii ( Which even has a Mii for all the campers! Aww, how sweet), going swimming, fishing, playing some games with the many balls set out in the clearing with your fellow campers, eating a good meal with your friends down at the meal hall, and of course roasting marshmallows over an open flame and singing to the stars at night.
The weather is absolutely beautiful, the heat and humidity giving way to cooler-yet-still-comfortable temperatures, and everything is absolutely picturesque.
But...of course, you're probably thinking more on all of the revelations over the past weekend. Being forced to stay in this camp by methods both based in reality and myth, the eeriness of the people who claim to be your counselors during your stay here, the mosquito thing, how Pastor Dan never stops smiling -
Speaking of Pastor Dan, while he's never gotten as overt as he did during the weekend, his sermons are...odd, to say the least. You won't be able to go swimming without listening to them, and as the week goes on, he goes from talking about harmony and unison and being in the Lord's embrace to really hammering home how sometimes, sacrifices must be made for the good of them all, and how you can't hesitate when it comes to make a decision...
A thin, fragile layer of peace hangs over the camp...for now.
But how long will it be until it shatters?

He and Drew went over the important information beforehand, so Chuuta is kind of ready to talk about things.]
I got a radio, and I was able to listen in on a conversation that the people in the woods were having. There were at least five of them.
Th-they said that there was a "procedure manual" and that weekends were going to be the busiest time. They also said their bosses want us to stay alive but it might be "more merciful" to kill us now.
And... they said they weren't going to do any more warning shots. Um, one of them said they thought that "2R and 1E" were going to try and run, and another said he thought "1R" was going to try again.
I'm going to keep my radio on to try and listen to them some more, so if I hear anything else I'll let everyone know.

[Good lord, how many people does it take to do a killing game?]
You hear names?
no subject
[One of them is named Patton.]
Patton.
They just used codes when they were talking about us.
no subject
[Gonta screws his face up in confusion.]
What kinda job force innocent people to kill each other?! Who want to get paid for that?
no subject
There are... a lot of people out there who just want to hurt other people, and a lot more people who don't care if anyone else gets hurt.
no subject
[Gonta... Doesn't know what to say about this.]
no subject
Those guys...
[ Is he still bitter about that time a gun was pointed at his head? Yes. Yes, absolutely. ]
If they say 'again', then 1R would be... Ren? It matches his initial, not mine.
[ And that's the only reason, because Boa has been thinking of trying again idly.... ]
no subject
[The Roman alphabet, Chuuta.]
Oh!
They said 2R and 1E were friends.
no subject
[ Their dear cabinmates... Boa shudders a little at presumably adults so casually discussing shooting those two. ]
They do seem close. But why would the hunters know that?
no subject
[They probably have cameras everywhere.]
Eh!? This whole place might be bugged!?

For the moment:]
Warning shots.
[It's said flatly, his eyes sliding over to where Ren is, but... he doesn't say anything else on the matter.]
That means we need to be careful on weekends. Whoever is in charge might throw something else at us. [or their deadline is the weekend, but let's not get into that now] If you need paper to record things, there's some in the lodge.
[That might be more helpful than straight up memory.]
no subject
[Twice.]
Yeah. Twice.
And um, they said that weekends were the busiest because of the manual, and their boss hadn't read the manual enough.
[But that last sentence...]
[Drew doesn't need paper!]
I think... I'll be able to remember it, and we don't want to leave a paper trail.
no subject
[That's just him making a suggestion, rather than calling the information useless, but he can be a bit clumsy with words now and then. But... yeah, Chuuta makes a good point about not leaving a paper trail -- undercover or clandestine operations aren't his specialty. He can sneak and ambush, but Aragami don't care about any other kind of subtlety.]
But... you sound like you know what you're doing with the radio. Thank you. And be careful.
[While radios are a fairly secure method of listening in... having the radio in the first place might be a liability depending on what happens.]
no subject
We'll listen for more names too.
no subject
Otherwise, it's down to the court of public opinion and logic, whatever works best for them.]
The names of both the hunters and what they're calling us. [he's not entirely sure how they could use that information yet, but it's better than nothing] We might eventually have to ask the counselors about it.
[That might be dangerous, but they'll deal with it when they get there.]

[Mitsuru is quiet for a moment while she absorbs this information, and then she speaks up]
. . . despicable.
[she doesn't say much, but hey, at least she's making her thoughts on this incredibly clear]
no subject
...........
TCH.
[ closes his eyes. ]
So it's not just the voice in our heads, these unnamed people want for us to kill SOMEONE. How FUN. ♪
[ sarcasm ahoy. ]
no subject
We might... need a volunteer.
no subject
no subject
Chuuta can't be the one to volunteer. He can't do that to Drew.]
It... it's better than someone... just picking a person.
[He wants to volunteer, but he can't.]
no subject
... I could do it. Ain't nobody want me around anyway.
