WEEK 1
After the hectic happenings of the weekend since you awoke here, the first official week of Camp is much...well, Calmer. Days are full of genuinely fun summer things - such as doing arts and crafts in the Rec Room (the theme this week is 'Macaroni', so expect plenty of cardboard picture frames and other assorted kitschy stuff scattered on the tables), playing the fully working Wii ( Which even has a Mii for all the campers! Aww, how sweet), going swimming, fishing, playing some games with the many balls set out in the clearing with your fellow campers, eating a good meal with your friends down at the meal hall, and of course roasting marshmallows over an open flame and singing to the stars at night.
The weather is absolutely beautiful, the heat and humidity giving way to cooler-yet-still-comfortable temperatures, and everything is absolutely picturesque.
But...of course, you're probably thinking more on all of the revelations over the past weekend. Being forced to stay in this camp by methods both based in reality and myth, the eeriness of the people who claim to be your counselors during your stay here, the mosquito thing, how Pastor Dan never stops smiling -
Speaking of Pastor Dan, while he's never gotten as overt as he did during the weekend, his sermons are...odd, to say the least. You won't be able to go swimming without listening to them, and as the week goes on, he goes from talking about harmony and unison and being in the Lord's embrace to really hammering home how sometimes, sacrifices must be made for the good of them all, and how you can't hesitate when it comes to make a decision...
A thin, fragile layer of peace hangs over the camp...for now.
But how long will it be until it shatters?

FIRST BLOOD
No one notices them or sees them leave - the faint creak of a bunk is all that's heard before they're gone, taking their weapon with them and heading out silently into the forest. And for a time, all is still and quiet...
Until the entire camp hears multiple gunshots coming from the woods, along with muffled, indistinct shouting and snarling - This continues for a bit, before a final gunshot rings out, and...silence.
One of your number is now gone, and the sickness still remains because his life was not ended by a camper's hand.]

What the- did someone go into the....?
[No, no he warned everyone- or did Dan and the hunters finally get sick of their game and just start killing everyone?]
no subject
Why would someone-?!
[That silence...
There's only one reason for the silence, and he squeezes his eyes shut, hissing out-]
Goddamnit...
no subject
[He snarls, grabbing his hair to keep from punching something]
Fuck-!
no subject
I know! I...I know. They must have thought - that they wouldn't be around in the early morning...
[Though that would be the perfect time for someone to make a break for it, honestly - so it's not surprising that they posted hunters during this time, too.]
...This isn't your fault, alright? You couldn't have stopped this.
[Because, well...
He knows that if he was in Ren's place, he'd be blaming himself intensely. He kind of is - just for not realizing that someone would do this right after the motive was given.]
no subject
There's nothing we can do about it now.
[His voice is completely calm, but his hands are clenched into fists, white-knuckled and shaking.]
no subject
[Honestly, Shirou's trembling fists are probably the only reason his bland reaction isn't getting him punched. But Ren IS looking at him with something like barely contained horror]
no subject
Whoever that was, it's already too late for us to save them. We'd just get killed too. All we can do is make sure that nobody else goes out there.
Cabin 3
We should gather everyone... Make sure no one is missing, see if it's a false alarm...
[He's not awake enough for this. Did he get a cold? Or is it the sickness?]
no subject
Maybe they're hurt-- We have to be sure!
[ She's pale. Please, don't be dead. Don't let her have missed something like this because she was too tired. ]
no subject
The shots were far off. I can't tell which direction though... We need to know who could be there. And get ready. There's a chance the hunters could be moving towards us.
[He's calm, if a bit disorientated.]
no subject
and mun didn't type it clearly because it's almost 3AM. ]...I'm ready to fight if we have to.
[ If they have to. If she could, she'd True Pacifist everything. ]
no subject
We should--
[Chuuta! The radio!]
Right!
[He'd turned it off to make sure everyone got the chance to sleep, but now he turns it back on and posts himself next to it, listening.]
no subject
What do you have there? Did you find their frequency?
[Sliding off the bed (Sorry Nine). Grabbing pants.]

"S3 made a run for it, he's been terminated."
"Damn, and so soon too. The one in the camp won't be happy about that."
"They can deal, we already warned them."
[Then another voice interrupts the first two:]
"Holy shit guys, I was right! You fuckers all owe me $20!"
[About five various voice pop in on the channel saying some variation of 'SHUT UP JERRY'. Then the channel goes quiet.]

Anyway, Lenka is down by the forest in a flash, following the sounds and the gunshots... there are a lot of gunshots. The chill from earlier is a lot worse now, and he can't tell what's foreboding and what's just sweat sliding down his back and his temples. He ignores it.
His night vision is pretty good, so he doesn't try to go further into the forest just yet, prowling at the edge restlessly.]
no subject
...Someone is dragging a body away.
A body with silver hair that shows up even in such little light.]
no subject
Something heavy, just about the size of a person, something that rustles over the leaves a bit like cloth, something...
He doesn't need a lot of light. That's the blessing and the curse of having his God Arc, of having Oracle cells, there's more than enough visibility right now for him to catch that glimpse of silver and all the chill sweat turns to ice. He doesn't remember moving, but there's an abrupt spray of earth, step, and Lenka is suddenly a whole lot closer to the source of the sound.]
Who's there?!
no subject
The body vanishes from sight.
Soma is gone.]

It's always a clear night, and it's clear enough for him to-- to find the jagged edges of logic, even as he follows the direction where the dragging noise went on until he hits the lake and finds nothing. The moon and the wind are up. His thoughts move slowly: check the cabin.
... Cabin 3, unless you're all out there, I guess you get him slicing up your window too as he lands inside with a thump, already heading for a bunk he knows will be empty. There's nothing. No glint of a blade, no tall shadows inside or outside, like someone important -- teammate, friend, he promised, he promised, he promised -- was never there.
And then there's a different shadow: someone living, moving fast and feral and carrying a very large blade, headed straight for the forest. He's not quiet, though, his roar echoing down to the waterfront.]
Soma... Soma! Answer me! Soma!
[Someone should maybe intercept.]

Dammit, dammit--I jus' got done sayin' dey got MILITARY power!
[ Time to start checking the cabins. ]
Is everybody all right? Please tell me dey didn't jus' invade de place. Oh, man...
Cabin 2 for the losers staying in
Well. Whoever else wants to leave may want to do so quickly, because soon Mitsuru is chanting up a spell, voice low and rough with sleep and sickness. Nothing inside the room seems to change, but he does slump on the top bunk, weary.]
...I've put a barrier in place.
[You're welcome.]
no subject
Someone should-
[Stop Lenka, but he's already gone, and who knows if those men are still out there]
no subject
[Sorry Lenka but that's what you get for bolting.]
But if there's anyone dangerous out there, they won't be able to attack us.
