WEEK 3

Another Sunday, another day to rest and recover after trial. The weather is now uncomfortably hot and humid after all the rain - perfect swimming weather, if what happened during the execution didn't put you off from swimming for a good long while.

As before, The RV's have changed, but it might not be the best idea to go and bother them after last week's...well, mistake. Maybe give it a week to rest. Additionally, if anyone tries to play the Wii, they will find that Chloe, Talcott, and Sayama's Miis have disappeared - as well that the machine itself is spitting out some strange music at the home screen and the Mii channel. The games seem unaffected by the musical change, at least - and there's now a copy of Mario Party 9 ready to be played alongside Wii Sports. Try not to murder each other or fling the wiimotes into the tv, alright?

The rest of the camp is the same as always, though now fishing equipment is always left out near the lake and beach, and there's a taped on sign on the slope railing declaring 'DO NOT LEAN ON.' Looks like they finally noticed the hazard that thing could potentially be. The kitchen has been fully scrubbed, the faint scent of lemon wafting in the air. Hm.

Two weeks have gone by, and with it, 6 of your fellow campers are gone. There are only six weeks left - six long weeks, and your chances of making it out dwindle all the time.

Knowing that, what will you do?

[Lance is furrowing his brow, considering this.]

And according to the not-cute Mitsuru, Red insists she isn't working with the hunters, then doesn't that mean we'd have to consider it's one of us? Or... or that there's someone else here that we don't even know about yet??

... I think we should be careful about assuming things. Especially things that turn us against each other.

[He doesn't like where this is going -- he hasn't liked where things were going in the camp for a little while, even without the murders, but he needs to speak up here.]

Chuuta. What exactly did the snipers say?

There's probably someone else here, someone who's... hiding. Actually, that sounds terrible! I don't want someone sneaking around here!

[And then Lenka's got a question, one that makes Chuuta pause for a few moments as Drew repeats the conversation.]

That sounds right.

So, one hunter said "S3 made a run for it, he's been terminated."

The second hunter said "Damn, and so soon too. The one in the camp won't be happy about that."

Then the first one said "They can deal, we already warned them."

And then one of the hunters named Jerry interrupted to yell about how he won a bet and everyone owed him $20.

[... He doesn’t say anything for a moment. There are people betting on their lives like they’re some kind of animals — he’s seen something like that before, he remembers — and he has to take a minute to process that and how much he hates it. It shows up in the intensity of his frown but not his tone; that somehow stays even. Ish.]

Couldn’t ‘the one in the camp’ refer to the RVs? They’re also here.

Or they’re not talking about a hunter at all. They wouldn’t need to warn one of their own.

Or maybe they were saying the person here couldn't be upset because the hunters already warned us.

And... I don't think they could be talking about the RVs. Wouldn't they have just said "the people in the RVs"? It was like... like they weren't allowed to talk about the person in the camp over the radio.

I don't know. If we all had to have our memories taken just for the RVs... they must be important to the hunters, somehow.

[He doesn't think it's especially farfetched that the hunters would have been a bit more careful about referring to that particular part of the camp, but that's just him. He's a bit biased.]

I think we need more information.

Wait... S3 would be Soma, right? ...Wouldn't the "one in camp" be Lenka? And the warning be when Ren got shot trying to escape and had to have the bullet removed?

[ Lenka clearly wasn't happy about Soma's death, after all. ]

Yes. It's probably Soma. And the warning is obvious.

[He just shakes his head, frazzled and confused and trying to make sense of it.]

But why would they care what I think?

[He's certainly no real threat at this stage, as much as it pains him to admit.]

That's the thing, though. That last one [ Ignoring the bet ] says, "Too bad, we already warned them." And supposedly they want us alive, anyway, and you being upset could have had you running into the woods after him to your death. Doesn't that make more sense in this scenario than a mysterious hunter among our number we don't know about?

[He's quiet for a moment, thinking that over, because she is right about one thing: he would have charged directly into the woods that time if Cielo hadn't stopped him. He still doesn't know how far he would have gone.]

I still don't know why they want us alive. [or for how long, at this stage] ... But yes. You're right.

[Lenka's getting a doubtful look here. For a moment, Lance looks as though he might say something, but he doesn't.]
