WEEK 3
Another Sunday, another day to rest and recover after trial. The weather is now uncomfortably hot and humid after all the rain - perfect swimming weather, if what happened during the execution didn't put you off from swimming for a good long while.
As before, The RV's have changed, but it might not be the best idea to go and bother them after last week's...well, mistake. Maybe give it a week to rest. Additionally, if anyone tries to play the Wii, they will find that Chloe, Talcott, and Sayama's Miis have disappeared - as well that the machine itself is spitting out some strange music at the home screen and the Mii channel. The games seem unaffected by the musical change, at least - and there's now a copy of Mario Party 9 ready to be played alongside Wii Sports. Try not to murder each other or fling the wiimotes into the tv, alright?
The rest of the camp is the same as always, though now fishing equipment is always left out near the lake and beach, and there's a taped on sign on the slope railing declaring 'DO NOT LEAN ON.' Looks like they finally noticed the hazard that thing could potentially be. The kitchen has been fully scrubbed, the faint scent of lemon wafting in the air. Hm.
Two weeks have gone by, and with it, 6 of your fellow campers are gone. There are only six weeks left - six long weeks, and your chances of making it out dwindle all the time.
Knowing that, what will you do?

MONDAY MORNING
no subject
The writing style is the same but there's no Old Lucian in this book, just a fresh page of notes. No frantic scribbles and it almost... looks like lyrics? Something similar to what Lillith was singing last week at least. A couple notes, one line repeated.
The Stone, chrysalis to the soul, cradle to the Lord
And in the margins of what he's actively working on there's idle doodles, little hearts and 9s, one corner taken up with a heart with words inside.

Between idle doodles he can be seen spinning a thin sheet of stone with a hole in the center on his finger. More idle motions, utterly carefree. Something to pass the time while he thinks.]

MONDAY MOTIVE: SENSE DEPREVATION
The buzzing is a dull noise instead of the intense harshness it was before as the tiny voice from last week is definitely coming through stronger, only needing to focus for a few minutes before it comes through as clear as ever.
The voice - just like the two times before it - seems to come from behind you and in front of you all at once, a breath down your neck and fingernails digging into your skin, the faint cracking of stones crashing against each other under every word.]
There are things you take for granted, right? To see. To Hear. To Taste. To Smell. To Touch.
[You're suddenly acutely aware of your senses - down from the wind brushing past your face to the motes of dust dancing in the sunlight, all intense and there.]
But they can be taken away, you know? Just in one big rush, or slowly. Gone, Gone, Gone - just like when people leave a place or stop living.
[As you listen, your senses...begin to dull, smell and sound and touch and everything, leeching out of your consciousness.]
They're fading, fading fast...and you rely on them so much, don't you? What happens when they're all gone? Hey, what happens?
[Suddenly, all your senses Shut off, leaving you suddenly helpless in a pitch blackness devoid of anything - sight, sound, touch, taste, smell - and for a moment, it seems as if the voice itself has left you alone in this hell, every second ticking by feeling like hours.
When it comes back, it's almost a relief, but you're forced to listen to the one thing that isn't just pure emptiness.]
You get it, right? That's scary. It's so, so scary. Trapped and unable to do anything, nothing you can do...
[The voice...almost sounds sad, a note of experience running in its words, a sorrow and fear buried deep under the cracking rocks.
But after a pause, it seems to realize it paused, and continues, albeit a little strained.]
If you don't want to end up like this - if you want to keep your ability to do things, to sense things, then it's easy.
That way, you'll save yourself and everyone else around you. Okay? Isn't that what you want to do? Save them? You want to save them, right?
Then....you'd better get to it.
...Or else, soon...you won't be able to do anything at all.
[And with that last, sad warning...
The voice, the buzzing...leaves.
But one of your senses definitely feels duller....]
((Characters will slowly lose one of their major senses, culminating in completely losing it on Wednesday. On Thursday, another sense will begin to fade.
Have fun!))

[ She'll instead give the octopus any small fish she can find while she cooks, humming as she goes along. By the time lunch is served, there is... A huge mess in the kitchen, but also you all have curry. It doesn't look super amazing, but she actually did really good on the flavors and it's not too spicy. ...At least this batch is mild.
...There's a spicier batch off to the side.
After that, Usagi darts off to the rec room for about five minutes to make a sign that she'll then stick on the octopus tank. So now there's a sign that says:
DO NOT EAT
LUNA 2 (?) IS A FRIEND
After Lunch and all of that, Usagi is going to be spending her time attempting to play with the Wii because, you know, vidya games. She's Trying, but the most advanced game she has at home is a fucking SNES. ]

WEEK 3 TLs
[now that the kitchen is clean and restocked, Richie is making himself lunch. there is a giant loaf of Wonder Bread on the counter, and two jars: one of peanut butter, and one of some white stuff just ambiguously labeled Fluff. he's gotten himself a butter knife for each jar and is judiciously making sandwiches. a whole plate of them. occasionally he'll stop to lick his fingers, because DELICIOUSNESS.
if you ask nice, he'll make you one, and maybe even cut the crusts off]
TUESDAY:
[soooo guess who's spending as little time in his cabin as possible? THIS KID. he's hauled a bunch of board games down from the Rec Room and spread them out on the mess hall tables, but the one he's really most jazzed about is Mouse Trap. he's putting the board together so that he can basically loudmouth people into joining him, and having a blast, because that is actually the best part of this game. but then --
-- he just starts rummaging through the box, little cardboard slices of cheese going everywhere]
What the fuck, where did he go?
WEDNESDAY
[this morning, campers wake up to something interesting: GRAFFITI. there are things scrawled in various places: on the side of the equipment shack, all over Cabin 4, and covering the Time Out building.
everything from mundane, run-of-the-mill Kilroys and abstract middle fingers, to slogans and phrases:
- DON'T BE JUST ANOTHER STONE IN THE WALL
- FUCK MURDERCAMP
- FREE STAN
- WHO IS THE VOICE?
- FIND THE TRUTH
- COUNSEL THIS

MONDAY - Info Sharing!
Everyone, I need to speak with you. This is our third week here, and I believe we are long overdue for coordinating the information we have and talking about our theories about this camp's existence. The only way we'll escape this prison is if we work together, and right now, I believe our information is too scattered for it to be of any use.
[out of her pocket, she pulls a small notebook pilfered from the rec room, which she then flips open to a certain page and drops onto one of the tables]
. . . this is what I have so far. I'd like to invite everyone to add to this as much as they are able.
[and then, she bows her head in gratefulness]
Thank you for your time. And please, be careful in the coming week.

Monday - mess hall
There's that nausea again, and the voice, just like last week and the week before. No one's going to kill for this, they can't, and Chuuta needs to do something, call a meeting and have a discussion and come up with a plan and--]
[Chuuta? Drew noticed something weird.]
Huh? What is it?
[There's something inside your head.]
[He drops his knitting, and the needles clatter against the floor.]
Wh-what? Drew, what are you talking about?
[There's something growing in your head. Drew thinks it's the rocks.]
What?
[That's a whisper.]
Can we get rid of it?
[That's at conversational volume]
[Drew doesn't think so]
Get it out! Get it out!
[And that's yelling, yelling that doesn't stop as Chuuta grabs at his head and doubles over.]

Marisa wakes up hearing the noise, but stops dead in her tracks when the moose starts digging its nose into her trunk and eating her voodoo doll.
She's dead silent at first, but lets out a shrill whimper as it locks eyes with her.
And just as quickly as it came, it...leaves? ]

Wii would like to Play
He waits until people show up before putting it in. ]
you're so punny
They’re both out at the pavilion, with Red watching as like six or so kids play some sort of sports game (probably soccer) in the distance. The viewpoint character is clearly trying to get her attention though.]
Red? Reeeeeed? Counselor Red!
[Red finally turns her attention away from the game and looks down to the viewpoint character. She’s got that look on her face, when she has a lot on her mind but is trying to smile and act like everything’s alright.]
Yes, Steven?
Is it true that you used to be a singer?
Now where did you hear that?
A little birdie told me. Sooooooo….
[Steven holds up the guitar.]
Let’s make music! You can sing, and I’ll play!
[The suggestion gets Red’s smile to warm up a bit, and she even chuckles.]
It’s been a long, long time since I’ve had a reason to sing.
You don’t need a reason to sing, you know. You can sing for anything, or nothing at all. Even ‘just for fun’ is enough! So what do you say?
[Red thinks over it for a moment, a moment that stretches out long enough for Steven to start going ‘pleeeeeease’ before Rin finally caves.]
Alright. But just since you asked so nicely.
YAY!
[And after a bit of fiddling, with Red instructing Steven on the right chords and tempo to play, they play a song.
By the end of it the kids from nearby have stopped their game to come and listen, and once Red stops singing and notices them she looks thoroughly embarrassed. But the kids are all smiling and asking her to sing some more.
Red looks to Steven with a raised eyebrow, silently asking him if he had planned that all along. In response, Steven just gives her a thumbs-up.]

However, as the days go by, the quality of his cooking starts to decline. Not dramatically, and it's still perfectly edible, but the tastes just start to feel off. Unless, of course, you're losing your sense of taste like Shirou is. Then you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
On Tuesday, you might find him out in the grassy field where he usually does his sword practice. This time, though, he's doing something different - he's seated on the ground with his eyes closed and a hand held out in front of him, focusing intently. After a moment, a sword suddenly appears in his hand out of nowhere. He opens his eyes and stares at it, breathing hard like he just did something requiring a great deal of effort.]

EARLY MORNING, TUESDAY
Both Cabin 1 and Cabin 2 get to experience the moose, and it ignores any traps or magic thrown at it, healing from any wounds.
As it runs into the forest, dragging the unresisting victims, it should come as no surprise that a short moment later two gunshots ring out in the silence of the early morning.
It's almost becoming something you can expect.]

So what are we gonna do with that octopus? You think it's going to stick around as the camp mascot or anything?
[Thanks, Usagi.
The more time passes, though, the less Kanji can knit...because his eyesight is starting to fade. It started as black clouds started to cover everything, the clouds grew progressively throughout the days. Kanji sits at the lake beach, rubbing his eyes with annoyed expression]
Dammit, is this for real...?
[...until it happens. He's blind. With difficulty he got off the top of the bunkbeds, and went outside, walking very slowly to not trip and fall facefirst. Still...he's blind. He sits where he remembers the slope towards the beach is at, and waves around when he feels someone's nearby]

the past two weeks and even the start of this one have been gradually taking its toll on her much like back home. the voices returned like clockwork at the start of the week urging them to kill for yet another reason and even the moose attacks which took more people. she can feel the guilt gnawing away at her that she hadn't been able to do anything to stop it but she tries her best to not dwell on it in and instead she copes with it entirely by focusing on drawing which ranges from her friends back at home and possibly even you?? yeah that is definitely a thing she is doing]

So he decides to do what he said he would to Kon last week. He's going to grill. Thanks to Archer there's fresh vegetables and seasoning, so it's not hard to gather some things up - mostly starchy things that will hold together well. Squash, corn, potatoes. Some fish that Cielo caught. It's better than eating in the kitchen that none of them trust. And up here on the pavillion everyone can watch and make sure no one messes with any of the food.
... though at one point during lunch someone might here Ren curse lightly and stare down at his hand. There's... a small amount of blood where he was chopping something]

Once he's done with that cabin. He'll move on to the others. Their doors get three, precise knocks. Anyone answering will find him bowing his head at the door still smiling, and holding an arm horizontally across his chest.]

REGROUP/CAT HERDING

Mon-Thurs
[ If anyone wants to let off some steam or just bother him, Nine can be found wandering between cabins and the beach. There's a big bruise on his neck and he's wearing Talcott's hat. He may have his spear out to train, following Zomcott like a love sick puppy, or watching one of his other cabin mates. ]
b. profile
[ Nine - 2N
World: FF29
Danger level: 6
Trained fighter, but can be contained. More of a follower. Watch for him to follow one of the ‘smart kids’, he can be a challenge if he’s pointed in the right direction.
His cape is shredded, a weird hippie guy with alien porn has a profile on him, and he almost lost Eddie and Boa.
Once he's away from the others and the feelings of we did good fade away, he'll punch a tree. ]
Dammit all to hell! What the hell is wrong with this place?!
[ There's problems when you have the teen aged war veteran upset. ]
C. Cabin Three
[ Wednesday night, Nine is pulling his mattress off the the bed to plop on the floor. ]
We can use the bunk to bar the door.
[ Yeah, that includes Zayama up on the top bunk. Have fun being a door block, asshole.
Thursday Morning he follows after Zombie Boyfriend for his morning routine to the bathroom.
When he returns, he will be touching his own face as if trying to feel for something, but nothing is there. ]
B
[There are so many things wrong with this place you can't just choose a starting point for it. Kanji tries to look at Nine, but all he can see is a blurry person in some black fog. Sorry if he can't look right at your face!]

thursday
[it's been. . . well, a week. just like every week here has so far. but much like she did on Monday, at breakfast Mitsuru stands up to address everyone as a whole again]
Unfortunately, it seems my sense of hearing has been compromised, so if you'd like to respond to what I say, please write it down on a sheet of paper for me. Thank you.
[she folds her arms, chin tilted up]
As you know, these past two weeks, every camper-caused death occurred on Thursday night. As today is Thursday, I'd like to remind you all to stay safe, and avoid doing anything unnecessarily reckless. We are all. . . tense, at the moment. We all feel the stress of camp weighing on our backs. But I believe we are, as individuals, far stronger than anything our captors may use to cut us down.
As a precaution, I intend to patrol the camp grounds tonight, and every Thursday night from here on out. Anyone else who wishes to keep this place safe may join me, but I'd highly recommend you all spend the evening in our cabins.
[she bows her head]
Thank you for your time.
afternoon in the clearing.
[anyway! after that, sometime in the early afternoon, Mitsuru can be found in the clearing practicing her fencing moves with her rapier. her stance, her footwork, the way she arcs her blade are all extremely impressive. look at her go!]
[. . . be careful if you approach, though. she can't hear you coming]

[Monday was a complete bust, a mess of revelations and fear. Tuesday morning, Chuuta doesn't want to get up, but Drew pesters him until he gets up and climbs down out of bed.
After breakfast, he sits outside in the clearing and keeps working on the knitting he started yesterday. He's just making little dolls, and as the day goes on it becomes more clear that he's making them look like everyone who's died here so far (except, of course Pastor Dan).]
Wednesday (before the excitement)
[The quality of the food hasn't suffered much, and Chuuta's baking is the same professional level as always.
But as he stares down at the soup in front of him, he isn't happy. He knew his sense of smell was the thing going first, but it was just like a bad cold yesterday. Now it's gone completely, and he hadn't realized just how much it would bother him.
It isn't like he can't cook at all, but there's something huge missing. He cooks for other people, and he doesn't know if he can do that anymore. He can't tell if his food is good, and that means that his usual habit of cooking until he's not stressed anymore just isn't working.
He pokes his head out to look around the mess hall for someone to help him out.]
Um, can you come taste something for me?
[The food he's making should be fine, but he's nervous now that he can't taste it.]
Thursday
[Chuuta'd tried to keep things quiet, to make it seem like he was just a normal boy with a normal life even if Drew was part of it. But then he (and Drew)... completely lost their mutual shit at Mitsuru yesterday. Drew's protected him before, of course, but this was different. Drew's never snapped at anyone before, never been that aggressive.
Chuuta's still working on the dolls as he sits in the clearing, but his usual running chatter of one-sided conversation has turned a little sharper and gloomier.]
You didn't have to do that yesterday.
[Drew doesn't like Mitsuru.]
You don't have to like people, you just...
[You know Drew can't do it alone.]
I know.
[Drew knows you don't trust Mitsuru.]
I don't, and he was... [He was pushing. He was pushing and Drew wasn't wrong to react with that flare of defensiveness (if Chuuta didn't agree, they wouldn't have been able to attack at all).]
But we can't fight anybody here, unless they're trying to kill us. Even if we get hurt, we still need to make sure we don't make anybody upset.
[Drew doesn't want to be hurt.]
I know. I don't want to get hurt either. But we have to make sure that people don't kill us.
Wednesday
[Kanji enters the kitchen. He looks at the pot of the soup, unable to distinguish what it may have, rubs his eyes and groans]
What does this soup have?
