WEEK 3

Another Sunday, another day to rest and recover after trial. The weather is now uncomfortably hot and humid after all the rain - perfect swimming weather, if what happened during the execution didn't put you off from swimming for a good long while.

As before, The RV's have changed, but it might not be the best idea to go and bother them after last week's...well, mistake. Maybe give it a week to rest. Additionally, if anyone tries to play the Wii, they will find that Chloe, Talcott, and Sayama's Miis have disappeared - as well that the machine itself is spitting out some strange music at the home screen and the Mii channel. The games seem unaffected by the musical change, at least - and there's now a copy of Mario Party 9 ready to be played alongside Wii Sports. Try not to murder each other or fling the wiimotes into the tv, alright?

The rest of the camp is the same as always, though now fishing equipment is always left out near the lake and beach, and there's a taped on sign on the slope railing declaring 'DO NOT LEAN ON.' Looks like they finally noticed the hazard that thing could potentially be. The kitchen has been fully scrubbed, the faint scent of lemon wafting in the air. Hm.

Two weeks have gone by, and with it, 6 of your fellow campers are gone. There are only six weeks left - six long weeks, and your chances of making it out dwindle all the time.

Knowing that, what will you do?

[Lenka straggles in after a little while, still rather bedraggled thanks to a combination of factors including, but not limited to: disaster disaster cabin, Losers’ Club disasters, octopus disasters, feline disasters and all kinds of meat-related disasters that must not be spoken of. But probably will be. He’s dragging his Arc behind him, because keeping it upright and walking steady at the same time is multitasking right now.

He plops himself down by Eddie and Gonta and nods tiredly at the spiel.]

Big Blue’s children. New ones. Gonta and Eddie weren’t the only ones who could understand them.

[He’ll let Usagi be the erudite one here, he’s just going to... grab a dish towel and clean some kitten spit off his God Arc for now.]

[Eddie is leaning on Gonta, looking very tired. He's only there to support everyone who helped him... and to pretend that everything went fine so the RV group didn't know what happened]

Cuz of Richie's book?

No. They only spoke a little Ojibwe. The rest we could understand.

[Lenka's just glad to see everyone in one piece, especially the people from the RV park since it feels like they've been away for approximately a billion years at this point. But it's soothing just to see the kitten crew and the park crew gathered together like this.]

I think... because they were younger.

[They'd said something about tradition, hadn't they?]

[He glances over, frowning at them and--

Oh, you know what? He's just going to use papers. So he writes on a notepad before holding it and the pencil out for one of them to take.

"What happened?"]

[There are so many deaf people this week that once Lenka clues in he just takes the pencil automatically and scribbles a quick message back.]

Big Blue's children came into the camp. They took Frank and Eddie. We got them back.

[Wait.

He scribbles out them and puts down Eddie instead.]

"Why did they come here?

Is everyone accounted for?"

I'm not sure. Frank was eaten... so I think they were hungry.

[That was the conclusion he'd come to, anyway, considering... everything that happened involving food. There's a lot to cover, so he just puts down a couple more lines.]

We fed them enough. They only attacked once. Everyone is in one piece.

[Except Frank. Press F to pay respects.]

He has not been keeping up in the octopus shenanigans, because it all sounded extraordinarily dumb.

"So they only attacked Eddie?"]

The octopus. I think he was also called... Luna 2? Octousagi?

[He's still not sure why you'd name a male octopus Luna, let alone with a version 2 appended, but he's adding that to one of the camp's 7 mysteries at this point. One that will probably never be solved, now that Frank has returned to the great ocean beyond.]

No. Eddie was just carried off. They tried to eat Boa. He's okay.

[Or did he return to the Lord's embrace.

That part does get him looking faintly shocked, however. Boa???

"Was he injured?"]

[That poor octopus doesn't deserve to return to the Lord's embrace. The kittens wouldn't let him, anyway. Gotta keep the food down!

He does quietly note that look of shock. Hey, Mitsuru is making friends, that's always a good thing.]

No. We had enough bait to stop them. He's fine.

[Which, he'd already written, but he doesn't mind repeating himself.]

Yes. Checking on him would be a good idea.

[Lenka cares, because of course he does -- he considers most if not all of the camp under his protection and the younger ones especially -- but probably someone closer to Boa and closer to his age would be better for helping out with the aftermath. He has faith in you, Mitsuru, go get 'em.]
