WEEK 4 - TRIAL
It takes a full day after finding the body, but on Saturday, the counselors call you all to the campfire, the bonfire already roaring away as everyone finds their seats. Red is seated there, and this time Stan is as well - holding the Voting box in his hands, looking grim.
It looks like you're here to find the killer.
And just like before, you know you'll be forced to vote before the night's over...
And condemn someone to a grisly fate.

EVIDENCE
Grassy Field
-a massive puddle of blood
-charred grass around and extremely deep fist imprints
-a charred branch that may have been used as a torch
-bloody footprints and drag marks leading towards the firepit, the foot size matches an older boy

[- an empty can of catfoot a little distance from an RV
- a 45 caliber empty bullet casing closer to the RV
- a tree with a bullet hole and a bullet lodged within it. the angle suggests the shot came from the hippie RV with the UFOs, and the bullet is one used by the hunters
- the bullet had no blood on it, so Nine is not sure it actually hit a person
- the RV person was unfriendly and did not wish to talk :(]
Kitchen
-Two broken cups, one of them on the ground
-The one on the ground smelled faintly of tea and had a raccoon pawprint on it
-An overturned basket of lemons]
Cabin 3
Fire Pit
The burn marks have no stone in them, and also his knuckles are bruised.
There's soil under his fingernails and an extra pair of burned and warped camp shoes were at the scene.
There's a stab wound in the center of his chest that was cauterized. It's about broadsword-sized.
The fire didn't kill Kanji, the sword did when it went through his heart until it hit his spine.

We're not getting anywhere with this. Focus, everyone.
First off, we know Kanji went to feed the RV cat after curfew, potentially to gain information. Then an unknown amount of things happened, resulting in a warning shot from the camp as well as Kanji getting stabbed with a broadsword and set on fire. I am going to speculate the shot was just to get Kanji off the area and the murder happened after, unrelated.
But really, we're running in circles trying to speculate what happened, but we do have a hint: the footprints. There is only a limited number of older boys in this camp, so if we go back to their alibis that narrows the suspect list down a bit.
Ren fits the print size. Shirou knows how to use swords and fits. And Lance also has a sword and fits.
So let's just try from that angle again.

Everyone, I'm not sure we're getting anywhere with the theories we have now. Perhaps we should look at this from a different angle.
It's difficult to surmise where our killer's sword came from, or why there were footprints at the scene. But Ashikawa reported there was no accelerant on the burnt stick, and Ren pointed out that Kanji had uneven burns on his back as well as his front.
If you had the ability to produce fire magically on the night of the murder, please step forward. Additionally, I'd like to know if there was anyone who did not return to their cabin at curfew. And if they didn't, please tell me what they were doing.
