As you wake up, nothing seems different - beyond that you don't seem quite as worried about your secrets being exposed anymore. And that, just like all the times before, means only one thing -

- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.

Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.

[slowly meandering back to the lodge it is!! is there anything notable about the clearing when she gets there]

Is she going near the lodge?]

[YEP, SHE SURE IS]

[Then she'll notice some sand by the lodge's entrance.]

[fallbymyhands]

[. . . ?]

[well she's naturally going to approach the entrance to examine said sand. anything weird about it?]

[It seems to be going into the lodge, down near Red's room...]

[um. . .]

Red?

[just. following that trail until she gets to Red's room, and gently knocks on her door]

[backspacing]

[She's in there! And she answers the door when Mitsuru knocks.]

Yes?

Red--

[a pause, as she tries to figure out how to open this conversation]

How are you faring?

[backspacing]

I'm fine.

[It's a murder day though, so she's not so fine really. Nobody's seen her on this day before.]

. . . perhaps that was a ridiculous question, considering what day of the week it is.

[said a bit guiltily]

Nobody drugged you last night, did they?

[backspacing]

No, nobody did.

Very good. I'm glad to hear Floe learned her lesson.

[awkward. . . . . they never really worked through how angry Red was at her after the whole Metaverse thing, so she still feels a bit like she's on thin ice, here]

. . . was someone killed last night?

[backspacing]

[Yeah she. got a little busy this week unfortunately. And she just looks worn-out in general. You know how young adults can work a long day and then go out clubbing, but older adults go home early and sleep off their exhaustion? Red looks like she's solidly in the latter category.]

Yes, someone was.

[mood, Red]

[Mitsuru thinks its telling that her only reaction to that is to suck in a sharp breath and steel herself for what comes next]

Can I ask who?

[backspacing]

Who what?

[There's at least two people involved in this you know.]

[since she's aware Red won't tell her the culprit]

[Since the body was already found and all, she'll say that.]

[but she rears back at her own display of emotion, hand grabbing at the sleeve of her shirt, fingers curling into same]

[earlier this week, they were just discussing that Mitsuru should take the moon crystal if anything happens to Usagi. and now. . .]

It's alright. I know it's difficult to handle.
