Week 6 After Party(??)

[Well... that was sure a thing.

A fucking terrifying thing, but a thing, nonetheless.

Eddie stokes the fire a little, trying to chase back some of the shadows creeping up on the circle. He might not be able to do much but he does his best to try to make it seem at least a little more comforting than it feels. He crosses to the woods and picks up a a bunch of long narrow sticks, bringing them back and setting them near enough to the fire for people to grab them if they want. Archer might be cooking in the kitchen, and he sure as shit isn't going to interrupt that to ask him for food, but he does sneak in just long enough to grab the makings for s'mores.

So there are now sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars near the fire. He also snagged some of the blank paper and crayons Richie had been using to make drawings for the time-out shack, so if anyone feels like some art therapy, there ya go.

He can be found lighting a marshmallow on fire. He doesn't seem interested in eating it, though, since it looks like it's about to melt off the stick.]

You think Lenka's gonna be able to keep up with him like that for long?

It's possible... Lenka seems like he'd have good endurance.

It depends on what they're both capable of, I suppose. I haven't really seen them fight all out before.

[He's admittedly kind of rooting for Lenka though.]

[this'll be interesting, then, he's more inclined to cheer for Ichigo since he's always helped keep an eye on Eddie, and Lenka, well. is Lenka and busted up their cabin]

He did say he was a soldier.

Judging by when our powers had all been swapped, that weapon of his is capable of a lot, too.

[Richie bites at his lower lip, watching Lenka wield the giant-ass thing like it's made out of cardboard]

I always thought it was a shield or something until he said it was a sword during that one trial. .... What else does it do? Have you seen it?

[Eddie leans on Richie a little, watching the match.]

I dunno, but it's kinda scary seeing what they can really do.

He's used it to split the stone we retrieved from Soma. The first time he did it, he asked me to create a barrier to make sure the rest of us weren't hurt even though we stood behind him.

[Not so much impressive, but it does imply a lot of power.]

Holy shit. That's... That's really fucking impressive. Also super cool that you can do that barrier thing, it's come in real fucking handy around here.

I think this is the most I've ever used that spell, actually.

[Barriers have their uses, certainly, but not one he needed so regularly before.]

Really? I guess that's a good thing that you didn't have to use it a lot back home.

Well, in Vision, if it came to a fight I would usually go on the offensive.

[Why barrier when you can crush instead?]

Yeah that makes sense. Can't really fight if you're in a bubble... so to speak.

Time spent making a barrier could be used creating an attack to end it instead.

[Like, he can still cast things from inside the barrier. There's just no point in the extra precaution. ]

How long does it take to cast stuff like that?

[Like could someone shank you before you're done, Mitsuru? The barrier would be helpful, then!]

Quickly enough to take care of any attackers before they can touch me.

[That he says with full confidence of having pulled it off many, many times.]

It's pretty impressive, all that magic stuff, you know?

Learning as much as I could seemed like the best way to make sure I was able to complete my Journey. It was working well, until I got here.

Yeah... I think we can all say that... This place kinda fucked everything up for us.

A little? But ... I mean ... if they're using it to protect us, that makes it a little less scary for me. And ... I think they are.

Yeah, I guess you've got a point. It's not so scary as long as we know it's not gonna be directed towards us. I've just never seen anything like this in real life, yanno?

Yeah, same. I think ... that's what makes it cool, too, though. Like a scary movie. As long as you know it's not gonna affect you ...

[he wraps an arm around Eddie's shoulders, snuggles up, and offers to share the Smartfood]
