Week 6 After Party(??)
[Well... that was sure a thing.
A fucking terrifying thing, but a thing, nonetheless.
Eddie stokes the fire a little, trying to chase back some of the shadows creeping up on the circle. He might not be able to do much but he does his best to try to make it seem at least a little more comforting than it feels. He crosses to the woods and picks up a a bunch of long narrow sticks, bringing them back and setting them near enough to the fire for people to grab them if they want. Archer might be cooking in the kitchen, and he sure as shit isn't going to interrupt that to ask him for food, but he does sneak in just long enough to grab the makings for s'mores.
So there are now sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars near the fire. He also snagged some of the blank paper and crayons Richie had been using to make drawings for the time-out shack, so if anyone feels like some art therapy, there ya go.
He can be found lighting a marshmallow on fire. He doesn't seem interested in eating it, though, since it looks like it's about to melt off the stick.]

Not even the books in that magic academy had anything even close to a spell like that...

What kind of cheese is that?
[he appreciates her helping, and is thinking a lot about how talking more to the zombies this week has not been as awful as he expected it to be, as long as he remembers to speak the language. also, he likes cheese, but not smelly foot cheese or bitter weird cheese, and some of those gross cheeses masquerade as delicious ones]

[Richie's just meticulously roasting one, himself. because he has proven that he is the King of S'mores. want one? come hit him up. he's ... amazingly chill compared to last week. maybe it's the closure. maybe he's just finally finding a pattern in all of this. but he knows this is the night to get shit out of his system, and to help everyone else deal with it, too. he's going to attempt to roll with it as best he can]

Once they're getting cooked, he plunks down and sits, contemplative. ]
We jus' gotta do our best. We gotta save 'em. Dere's gotta be a way. We gotta find it. Floe, Gonta, all de othas...
no subject
Yeah. Yeah. We've gotta find a way. There's gotta be something we can do!
no subject
You're right. I've been thinking that, all week. It just pisses me off that every time we try to talk about it, everyone gets fucking distracted. First that stupid eye on the phone, and then this week everyone was all talking about who liked who. We need to find answers.

--Anyhow, Lenka will settle next to him and the wafting smells of fish sometime during the night, equally thoughtful and staring into the fire for a little while. He's clear-eyed and his head is up, though. It's hard to tell whether he's getting too used to these executions or... maybe this week and the last week were different in some way.
Whatever the reason, the result is his quick nod at Cielo's statement, eyes bright.]
I think we're on the path to where we want to be -- where we all want to be. The dead are helping us. We're not alone here.
no subject
....Mm.
[He's looking a little somber as he stares out towards the lake, but...he refuses to give into the pain he'd had before.
That despair was over - and no matter what these last two weeks brought, he swore he'd be strong enough to withstand it.]
...Just a little more. That's all.
[But -
Maybe he's allowed to crack just a little. Just a little...]

a message from your friendly neighbourhood zombie
in the aftermath? while there's a lull in the conversation and it's quiet enough for people to hear, there's suddenly going to be a decently-sized branch being hurled from wherever natsume is standing right into the heart of the fire, because obviously throwing shit into the fire and setting it ablaze is one way of getting everyone's attention.
anyway he's going to make eye contact with the first person that looks at his direction, and say: ]

Shounen Sword Sparring Sunday School
Guess what: almost seven weeks in, Lenka and Ichigo are finally getting their sword on. Enough keeps getting in the way (motives, always motives and then the dead and the god and everything in between) that it's taken this long to even agree on a location and terms, or whatever handwaving they've done to get here.
It's starting off slow, almost leisurely, Lenka getting used to swinging his Arc at somebody instead of something and the two of them testing each other's mobility and defenses. They're built for very different styles of fighting, after all, despite some similarities in their sword techniques.
That being said, better keep your eyes peeled or you'll miss half the fun -- Lenka can't precisely flash-step, but he's got a step when he's of the mind.]

Sunday
He only knows the very basics- picked up from a lifetime where prayers and the kami were just a background noise in his life. But he brings salt and salt water- cleans the altar (even though he's sure all signs of the body are long gone), then sets out both some rice and grilled fish he made himself first thing in the morning, and some tobacco he found in the pile (which he is sure is just someone's dad's pipe smoke not anything really made for an American kami but he dare not ask Red for something more authentic) before going to sit at one of the pews near the front. He sits for awhile, working through his thoughts for the week ahead.
Probably not wise to bother him while he was working, but as he sits he wouldn't mind some company]

Sunday Magic Fight After The Shounens
If they're having fights for funsies, why not?
Once Mitsuru's got a good grasp of the rules and how to bend his magic to have the correct effects, he walks over to the clearing, now devoid of shounens, and begins casting. Perhaps sensing his intent, the crystal atop his staff glows several colors: red, green, blue, and then amber.
First, he summons a wind spirit, granting him flight. Indeed, the air around him seems to swirl as it lifts him off of the ground. Next is the seawyrm, a sea serpent that's been shrunk as with all other summons, yet still capable of surrounding him with globes of water - probably the best thing he can use as nonlethal, magical bullets.
Each can take only so many hits before they lose. Time to see if his own spells are up to snuff.]
Ready when you are, Kirisame.
no subject
Suffice to say, she's feeling a little overconfident, if only because dodging magic bullets is something she does all the time. She's fast and strong, but has the hardiness of a plastic bag. If something knocks her off her broom, she's pretty much down for the count.
A few sparkling orbs wait near her, ready to fire off bullets at her direction. ]
Right. [ She holds up the Hakkero in front of her, and it begins to glow and radiate heat. ]
Star Sign "Dragon Meteor"!
[ This one's...easy-ish....by Marisa standards at least. It's more or less a rainbow shotgun, but there's only the one laser to dodge and no stray bullets. ]
