WEEK 8

The weekend passes in a blue, and suddenly it is Monday again. Monday of week 8, the final week of camp. The last week to try and change your fate.

It's sunny and pleasant, with daytime temperatures lingering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping off into the 50s in the evening. It's pretty much the perfect weather for Michigan, and it's only a shame that it took this long to get to it.

The WiiU continues to be broken, though the creepy Mii is gone now. All of the Miis are, actually. All that can be seen is a variety of Pure Michigan ads, interestingly enough. A bit calmer than last week's visuals, but probably annoying since no games can be played.

There is one other notable change about camp: the counselors are nowhere to be found. There is plenty of food and some note left on how to run things, but otherwise the campers have been left to their own devices apparently.

On the main door to the lodge is a note that says "We will be back as soon as possible." written in Red's handwriting. What could this mean?

[He stretches hard enough that Chuuta's kind of pulled forward. Which puts Drew right in range to tap his nose against Mitsuru's cheek. And make a little kissing sound, which only Chuuta can hear.]

Drew! [Chuuta is scandalized.]

[she jerks back in surprise, hand against her cheek. she doesn't look offended, because Drew is a cute alien, but she does look taken aback]

the "shoving down the shirt" trick never works, there's a Drew-shaped lump wiggling around under the fabric now]

I think he thinks he's being cute but it's really not okay Drew!

[Mitsuru shakes her head, looking a bit exasperated]

I-- it's all right. . . while it isn't okay to suddenly invade someone's personal space, there was no harm done.

Sorry, once he found out people could pet him, he's gotten really bad about getting into people's personal space.

A glutton for affection, I see. With his appearance, I imagine he gets plenty of it.

[Drew gives up on wiggling out from under Chuuta's shirt and just comes out of his arm instead of his torso.]

He does, from some people. There are a lot of people who don't talk to him.

[. . . he's actually kind of cute, Mitsuru thinks to herself]

Why not. . .? Is it because of his unusual appearance?

Sort of, but it's more like... [He isn't quite sure how to explain it, since he doesn't understand it completely himself.]

You're not talking to him right now. [Chuuta sort of explains, and Drew glances back at him curiously.]

[Mitsuru tilts her head, gaze flickering from Chuuta to Drew, and back again]

. . . I suppose you're right. I'm not. Though my intention isn't to be rude.

[and then! to Drew!]

I apologize if talking about you so openly offends you.

He says he doesn't mind.

[She can pet Drew if she wants to.] [He suggests, tilting his head to make it easier.]

You can't just ask everybody to pet you!
