Week 8
The weekend passes in a blue, and suddenly it is Monday again. Monday of week 8, the final week of camp. The last week to try and change your fate.
It's sunny and pleasant, with daytime temperatures lingering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping off into the 50s in the evening. It's pretty much the perfect weather for Michigan, and it's only a shame that it took this long to get to it.
The WiiU continues to be broken, though the creepy Mii is gone now. All of the Miis are, actually. All that can be seen is a variety of Pure Michigan ads, interestingly enough. A bit calmer than last week's visuals, but probably annoying since no games can be played.
There is one other notable change about camp: the counselors are nowhere to be found. There is plenty of food and some note left on how to run things, but otherwise the campers have been left to their own devices apparently.
On the main door to the lodge is a note that says "We will be back as soon as possible." written in Red's handwriting. What could this mean?

Because if most people here come from a place like the old world -- and that's what it seems like, from the people he's talked to, minus the magic and the aliens and the subconscious dream worlds (what even is the Metaverse, pt. 948934) -- it's no wonder that figuring out how to convey his own is something of A Task. Even now.
He doesn't mind, though. It's just too bad that he's not great at descriptions, on top of it.]
The world ended twenty years ago, when the Aragami appeared. That's what they say. [it's an odd sort of hearsay, being told the world was done before you were born, while you're still living in it] It took us a while to learn to fight back.

It's like an anime. [Chuuta says, before realizing that's completely tactless.] Sorry! I just... I mean, it doesn't sound real. My world is so... normal that I can't imagine something like that.

[Yeah, somehow after the world ends there's still... anime..... talk about the resilience of pop culture. He shakes his head but doesn't seem particularly offended; there's still a minor glint of amusement in his eye, in fact.]
I don't know how normal your world is, Chuuta.
[Not a completely serious argument either. But have a raised eyebrow. If you're going to talk about where you come from, then Drew isn't even close to ordinary.]

[He's alluded to it before, but yeah, it's only been a couple of months since he even really understood what God Eaters were and how they worked -- much less actually did the thing himself. This is in fact the first time he's been outside of Japan, if you don't count that one stint on a Russian transport plane in the middle of nowhere.

The strangely accented title is getting some seriously raised eyebrows, he's not sure if that's Chuuta trying for an accent or being dramatic or what. Hmmm.]

[He knows some bare essentials that you'd be able to find in a beginner's 101 session, but other than that? Nada. He hadn't really thought about it, with the number of people seemingly of Japanese origin around and then everything else that was different, but. Hm. That's a thing.
He blinks at the sudden question about Nine. Pauses to think about it.]
Nine, uh... [his first thought, wildly, is just Cabin 3, But Taller, but Chuuta would probably protest -- so] He's pretty good with kids, so. The Children's Spear?
