Week 8
The weekend passes in a blue, and suddenly it is Monday again. Monday of week 8, the final week of camp. The last week to try and change your fate.
It's sunny and pleasant, with daytime temperatures lingering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping off into the 50s in the evening. It's pretty much the perfect weather for Michigan, and it's only a shame that it took this long to get to it.
The WiiU continues to be broken, though the creepy Mii is gone now. All of the Miis are, actually. All that can be seen is a variety of Pure Michigan ads, interestingly enough. A bit calmer than last week's visuals, but probably annoying since no games can be played.
There is one other notable change about camp: the counselors are nowhere to be found. There is plenty of food and some note left on how to run things, but otherwise the campers have been left to their own devices apparently.
On the main door to the lodge is a note that says "We will be back as soon as possible." written in Red's handwriting. What could this mean?

[All they'd get would be some account of their arrival from others, always secondhand unless there's a way to reverse the effects of the drug; and there isn't any at hand. So while it's a possibly unsettling piece of information, he's going to focus on the other exponentially more unsettling piece of information. Thanks, Mitsuru (ominous).]
Hmm. At least we have a time for that protocol's activation. So we'll have until then to change the protocol for this camp.
[He doesn't know what's going to happen this weekend, but with the counselors gone and the camp quiet, it feels like the calm before a storm.]

[Still, it's "try."]
...If it comes to that, being able to disable my magic is probably a good backup plan. [Since you all are so averse to killing him.]

[It may be a try, but it's still something they've seen happen with their own eyes -- that means it might be a good delaying and disabling tactic, at the very least.]
We can ask those who have their own magic if they have ways of countering other magic. [Marisa, Mitsuru (less final), Ren and Nine, then -- and also...] Chuuta might be able to provide some kind of restraint. What do you think?
[He looks a little apologetic for bringing it up, actually, but well -- he figures it's better than having it come from Chuuta. And they need to look at every option. He's excluding himself for the moment, principally because he's usually too destructive to act as anything but a defensive wall.]

Worst he can do is kill me, anyway.
[Such faith. Congrats on unlocking Mitsuru (sulking).]

[Said in the same tone in which he might say broccoli isn't going to destroy your life or I think Red might have had too much vodka last week. Obviously, he has more faith in Chuuta and Mitsuru than either of them seem to have in each other or themselves, but that's what the rest of them are here for, after all.
He'll bring you a tree later, Mittens.]
We'll all make it through this. We've come this far.

If you don't want me to help keep you under control, I won't.

[It's not quite a reproach, because Chuuta does have some grounds to counter-sulk and argue, but it's also a reminder: all of their lives may be riding on this, including Mitsuru's own, and all the lives of the dead besides. It's good that they have Ren as a back-up, but this is the type of situation where their back-ups may need back-ups, and Lenka is not into taking chances here.]

... All right. We'll go with that, for now.

[he doesn't look too thrilled though]
That spell I used on Ichigo after Kon died... it works on magic too. But only for a few minutes at a time.

What does it do, exactly?

I've never had to fight physically, so that should work. I do have a knife, though - one of you can take it if it's a... concern.

[He'd actually been thinking of that spell too -- it seemed to be an effective restraint, and if it worked on Ichigo, the other final protocol candidate... Then it's going to be a good backup plan if Sol's effect isn't strong enough. He's not sure how long they'll need to hold out for. But there's enough of them to make a good bid for it, hopefully.]
