Week 8

WEEK 8

The weekend passes in a blue, and suddenly it is Monday again. Monday of week 8, the final week of camp. The last week to try and change your fate.

It's sunny and pleasant, with daytime temperatures lingering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dropping off into the 50s in the evening. It's pretty much the perfect weather for Michigan, and it's only a shame that it took this long to get to it.

The WiiU continues to be broken, though the creepy Mii is gone now. All of the Miis are, actually. All that can be seen is a variety of Pure Michigan ads, interestingly enough. A bit calmer than last week's visuals, but probably annoying since no games can be played.

There is one other notable change about camp: the counselors are nowhere to be found. There is plenty of food and some note left on how to run things, but otherwise the campers have been left to their own devices apparently.

On the main door to the lodge is a note that says "We will be back as soon as possible." written in Red's handwriting. What could this mean?

The most I could do is just drawing stick figures, yo.

[ Ask Floe how drawing with him went. He made an attempt but it wasn't good. ]

Maybe we should try to figure out what the hell we want to say first. Just in case we only wind up with a small shot at it.

That's, ah, about how much art I can do too.

[He's a little embarrassed about it, but only a little; there's a brief scratch of the head and a shrug. It's why he'd bowed out of doing the drawing part of that mission right off.]

But I don't think we'll know what we need until the dead are gone.

[It sounds like that's going to be the beginning of the end, not to put it too ominously or anything. A lot of things are going to change very quickly, he thinks, very soon.]

Never really had a need to draw before.

[ Which is probably the same case for Lenka. Though the topic is taking a more somber turn when he thinks about them being gone again. ]

Man, this sucks.

I didn't either. I... didn't have a need for a lot of this, before.

[Either no need, or no opportunity, or just didn't even know most of the things here -- activities and people and situations -- even existed. There's something to be said for staying a frog at the bottom of your own well. To be fair, though, he would have needed those art skills sooner rather than later. Thanks, Shio-whom-he-hasn't-yet-met.]

... We'll see them again. This time, without Sol's effects. Alive.

[It's something he's needed to believe for a long time now. He's still holding on to it.]
