WEEK 4 - INVESTIGATION
As you wake up, you'll realize that your powers have returned to you. For some, this is a joyous occasion...but even with them returned, it's only a grim reminder of the reality of the situation -
- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.
Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.
CAMPERS REMAINING: ???
((We ask that you remain in groups of 2-3! As per usual.))
Cabin 3
if you need him, he'll be crying.

He sits down on the corner of Richie's bunk. ]
Hey....

H-h-hey.

You were close to him, huh?

[ He didn't talk to Kanji much, so he's not personally affected by this more than the normal 'well, someone died' amount, but... ]
We went fishing to get food for the octopus together last week. He didn't mind speculating with anyone of any age, for sure...

[he sniffles.]
... Sometimes I got the feeling we had a lot in common. He talked really loud, but he was ... really nice.

He was about to sit on his own bunk when he sees a lump in Richie's bed... a crying lump. Without saying a word, he crosses and sits next to his BFF, laying a hand on what he hopes is his shoulder.]

"This is all so fucked up"? No duh.
"I can't believe he's dead"? Well, more like you can't believe he died today. We're all gonna die.
"I don't want to think about who did it"? Too bad, you have to.
"I don't want to do this anymore"? Your brain has rocks in it. Do it and find a way out, or die.
"I want to go home"? No duh.
either they've said it all before, or there's no point in saying it at all. so he just sniffles.]

Will you freak out if I use my blanket, or my pillowcase or whatever?
[it's the tiniest, weakest smile, but it's there]
no subject
No. I don't think it really fucking matters anymore, do you?
no subject
[that wrenches another sob out of him, and he wipes his face on the corner of his bedsheets]
Eds ... I'm scared.

He doesn't know who died... He doesn't want to see for himself.
So he gently knocks on the door... And waits. Anxiously.]
no subject
Unless you're a moose, get the fuck in here already...
[there's not nearly as much joy in the joke as he usually manages. he's tired.]

Gonta enters slowly... There's a terrified look in his eyes...
He walks over and sits next to Richie on the couch.]
... [He whimpers a bit.]
no subject
... I hate this.
no subject
Gonta know... Really want it to stop.
[It's awful. It really is. At least Monokuma didn't bring everyone back as rocks... At least he didn't put rocks in everyone's heads...
But he also can't bear to imagine his dead classmates like Tal, or Lilith, or Kon- Gah! Neither of those experiences are good. Why can't they all just get the rock out of them and let everyone go home?!]
Gonta... Not know how many more deaths he gotta deal with. Not wanna solve murder anymore.

Are you okay? [Chuuta asks, and Drew pushes his way into the blanket pile to get up close and personal with Richie's face.]
no subject
.... Drew. Chu.
No, I -
[he sniffles again]
It was Kanji.
no subject
Yeah, we saw. [Chuuta didn't know Kanji well, but he seemed... nice. Nicer than he looked.] Are you okay?
no subject
No ... he was ... he was one of the first older kids to be cool to me, you know?
[the tears start again. HIS SENPAI IS GONE, CHUUTA]
Where I'm from, the older kids all pick on me. Kanji ... he liked me. He wanted to actually be friends.
no subject
I don't know why they needed so many nice people here. They could have just had people like Mitsuru-kun instead.
no subject
[talking about other people is a good distraction. he swipes at his cheeks]
He's ... kind of a jerk, if that's the Mitsuru you're talking about. Boa seems to think he's okay, though...
