It's noon when you all go down to the firepit, the sun hanging bright in the air. Red is there, seated calmly, watching all of you - and Archer is standing up, looking imposing.

[Hey so Ren, your vision is changing suddenly. Or rather, you're starting to see more. Because the area around the campfire is lit up with about a hundred glowing dots. There is one dot in each person (except for Chuuta, who has two), and the animals that are mucking about doing stuff have a dot as well. But there's also other ones just lingering around, watching.

The one closest to you glows a bit brighter though, with a familiar feel to it. Perhaps this one is the soul you need to pay attention to?

Ren is also intrinsically aware of how to use these new powers he has gotten. Putting souls in objects will be relatively easy for him. But, um. He can put them in ANYTHING, so make sure to aim for the gigais. Or else you might end up with a soul in a tree.]

Okay- [He reaches for the familiar soul, which to the living must look like he's decided to be a mime suddenly]

[That light is going to reach out for Ren, and as soon as it touches him Ren will feel a rush of familiarity. It feels like a hand is grabbing his, and the power within it can be felt too.

[He goes to the bodies, carefully so not to trip and like, stick him in a rock. Here you go my dude]

As Ichigo's soul goes into the gigai, the body...changes. Orange hair suddenly grows in, the body itself changing to fit his specifications, muscles and a skinner build coming up.

Unfortunately, the gigai is also NAKED, so now everyone gets to see that, indeed, the carpet matches the drapes.

As soon as it's complete, Ichigo JUMPS up, flashing, uh...everyone.]

Alright, Sol's going to let go soon - I've got to get in a better spot!

That something is sending a shitton of clothes from The Pile over with the air spirit after a few minutes, warping back himself with an extremely "I can't believe this" expression.]

[Well, he's going to look around a little bit because literally everyone can see this, debating if he needs to go dive in the Stan pile while Ichigo works?? Hm. He's going to take a moment to be glad that this worked first.]

[Despite the reappearance of a naked Shinigami, things are quiet for a moment.

And then, all at once -

Souls errupt from the ground, twinkling like stars - all of them are transparent, but they're clearly human - and the ones that are more like outlines wave in happiness before being drawn up, up into the sky, and disappear into a sudden rift that appears above the camp, the inside of it full of flashes of many, many worlds.

On the moment that the souls return, Ichigo's shinigami outfit suddenly appears on him, physical as can be as he runs towards the place where the greatest gathering of souls is, whatever he's yelling hard to hear over the rushing wind from the rift, but multiple hands and people run to him, hanging on for dear life-and Ichigo holds them back, deciding to just hold fast until this is over.

There are so many souls that don't, though - and they all leave at different rates, each and every one seeming happy they seem to be able to Go -

And then the rift closes when the last group of them is gone, the pull apparently less hard on Ichigo and the remaining souls as he carefully turns around and begins to walk them all towards the bodies.

It's your friends - some of the people you knew aren't there anymore, apparently having chosen to go back home after all. But you can see them, safe and sound, before Ichigo ushers them into one of the gigai.

The dead have returned.

[ Boa feels incredulous.

There should be many other things he is feeling, but mostly what persists in his mind is a sense of this being too good to to be true. He's spent so much time only being able to hang on to his stonified abominable body for very small moments, so who's to say he won't be ejected from this body as well?

He's hesitant, just... sitting on the ground, raising his hands in front of his face, not quite believing that they're there. ]

[Lillith gasps as the gigai reshaped itself, feminine, long ash blond hair growing at a rapid rate, eyes snapping open as she sits up, staring at herself, fingers wiggling before she touches her throat, then diagonally across her torso, surprised but pleased by the lack of scars, then she realized there were people around - immediately diving into the pile of clothes, she'll be with you all in a moment soon as she gets something on.

It's great to be alive, but a little dignity please]

[He's naked and his zombie walked off with his good pants but this is Talcott giving absolutely zero fucks. Just going to lay here in the godsdamned sunlight laughing giddily until he cries kthx]

[Archer's hair has flopped back down, and with it down, it's clear just how much he and Shirou are alike.

Most of all because he's genuinely smiling, watching all of this.

They did it. After everything he's seen, everything he's done...

[Coming back from actual death turns out to be pretty different from coming back from near-death experiences. Shirou just lies there on the ground, blinking up at the sky incredulously.

They're back. They got out, and they didn't have to sacrifice anyone.

They saved everyone.]

[Another quick aside since he's not coming back to life and is instead going back to his world but.

[ Floe comes back laughing, and that doesn't stop even as tears start to slip down her cheeks, standing at that strange emotional intersection of joy and sadness and fear and uncertainty and relief. Clothes should be a concern, and she probably blindly grabs for SOMETHING to cover herself, but ends up just holding it to her chest and laughcrying for a while longer instead of putting it on. ]

[And once it's all done, Ichigo sighs - smiling, but sadly. He turns around - not on all of his happy friends, but towards the one they weren't able to bring back.

The one who's still in there with Sol.

He heads towards the chapel, silently - still not realizing he was entirely naked for a while until his shinigami outfit popped onto his frame - and he lets his hand rest on the stone altar.]

....I'll come back for you. Both of you. I promise.

I won't let either of you get left behind.

[He knows Kon can't hear him - but...

...Maybe, like this, it's enough.]

[They're here in a blur of glowing energy and then they're gone again, racing for the sky and the worlds beyond. They won and all around Chuuta people are laughing and smiling and diving into piles of clothes.]

We did it. [Chuuta says, quietly, just to Drew. He's laughing too, relieved and thrilled and...

and he's gotten so in the habit of being on edge that he doesn't know how to really be happy about this, and sidetracks himself with a sudden worry.]
