You've got all your senses back, but with the return of them comes a grim, familiar knowledge -

- that one of your fellow campers have committed murder.

Someone is dead. It's up to you to find out who...and to gather evidence for it.

[Friday mornings aren’t the greatest time to go anywhere when everything is now a murder scene and no one’s has any sleep the night before — at least very few people in his cabin, Lenka would attest. It’s starting to be a routine for a zombie horde of them to wander across camp in the morning, hoping the early daze would blunt the impact of any discoveries that day. There’s a part of him that wants to curl up in the cabin and pull the pillow over his head, every time.

Of course he doesn’t.

Instead he’ll be over by the lake, keeping half an eye out for any of the cats and watching fellow campers the rest of the time. Slowly counting the number of people up and moving. Not for any real purpose, but it’s just slightly more soothing.]

[Mitsuru seems visibly annoyed this morning as she makes her way down to the lake area, drifting naturally to the canoe shed. hm. engage, y/n?]

[ Boa comes here every morning to run laps because he's a terrible jock and he loves sports. Or rather sports are directly tied into his sense of self-worth, but y'know....

He's already aware someone must be dead, but he's not particularly looking for a body because the last two weeks...? That meant brains. Boa's sick of brains. ]

[Alright so after seeing that the beach is not where Clarke is, Lance wanders away from Mitsuru and Nine to try and find her. On some level, he knows it must've been her who was murdered this week, but he doesn't want to believe it. Clarke's a survivor -- even the hippies thought so, damn it -- and none of this can seriously be happening.

Eventually though, he does find her.... and it's not at all what he hoped to see. He says nothing while the others wrap up their investigation and waits silently until they're done with their examination. He drops to the ground beside her body unable to do anything but stare blankly until his vision starts to blur.]

You've been through so much... I can't believe....

[... that this of all things is what took her life. That she had to die in such an awful place and meet such an awful fate as one of those rock zombies. As a friend, he can't let that happen to her. He wipes his face, then as carefully as he can, he picks her up and carries her to the beach to cremate her. He'd do that on the grass if the people that gave him his fire powers also gave him the ability to put his fires out, but... that's a different story.

Once he's there, he sets Clarke down and closes her eyes.]

Sorry. I really hope this works....

[He takes several paces back, takes a deep breath and concentrates on starting a fire.]

[once he's sure Natsume's lucid and okay, Richie's going to check the cabins to make sure everyone is either there, or not sleeping and turning into creepy rocks.

[Quick check in at the time-out shack, since he's by the lake shore, anyway. Lenka's been mostly staying away from this spot, because it's. It's just not a great place to hang around, especially after they've figured out roughly what happens in it. Sort of.

Is there anything different about the shack besides the usual creepy stuff.]

[ Nine can be found by the fire pit looking a little lost in thought. He's wearing his pants, tank-top, and Talcott's hat. Seems like every investigation his blazer is going to go missing.

Rubbing at his scar and looking over at anyone who approaches to give a wave as if he didn't worry anyone by not showing up to any plans. ]
